Reason: Removing photos. All items spoken for.
You need to post things to get more numbers. There is a minimum number of posts before you can post photos on the forum. An easy way, is to leave comments in the gallery on cards. Another is to chat. Find a topic you like and chat away. That brings your posting numbers up and before too long, you will be able to post photos in this forum. That is my understanding. Welcome!

What user group are you referring to? I have no idea about a user group in the general stamping forum. I know about ones in the swap area but not here. Maybe I have done something years ago I do not remember.
What is this? I guess I have been on here too long to remember anything like this.
I think it is something new. When I first tried to join this swap I could not post. I was told by the admins that I had to join the user groups. Once they approved me, no more problems posting...

The monthly swap you are participating in is in a Group, so you needed to ask to join the Group. Any kind of Swap is in a Group and you have to ask to participate. This is in the General Stamping Forum where it is not part of a Group. No membership is required. I had to ask to join a Group when I wanted to send cards to the Ronald McDonald House which was part of a Swap Group. I didn’t understand about needing to be a member, so they talked me through it. Kate should be fine to post. Her counts are growing, so hopefully she will be able to post photos soon.

Bonnie--sent you a PM for # 1 item--if it's already gone, no problem
Can you add photos to the gallery? I am not sure where the exact number of posts needed are to be able to post a photo here.
No, photos like that are meant to be added to the thread, not posted in the gallery.
I would have expected that 18 posts should be enough to either add an attachment or a photo. If there's a different error message there may be a permissions issue. I saw Rebecca Ednie posting that she also has a problem, and she has over 1000 posts. Need Help Identifying a Stamp? Post photos here! by UnderstandBlue at Splitcoaststampers
Yes, Cook22, I've learnt that on this site, it's usually not a user problem! They're very PC-centric. @honeysandwich if you're on Android or ipad, try using a PC and see if that helps any?

I was thinking general gallery posts, like cards or scrapbook pages. I just looked and she is able to post there. I was thinking if she couldn’t post in the gallery something could be wrong with her ID or because she just came back to the site after being away for a long time. I just read her welcome by Lydia.
Using my iPad, in order to post to this thread, I have to slide the screen far to the left to access the message box in which to type my message, then click on “Manage Attachments” below the message box to add photos. The photo adding portion was so extremely slow yesterday, I nearly gave up, but persevered and was successful. I don’t know how an android system might differ. Maybe the person having difficulty will find something useful in my comments.
If there is an issue with posting photos, and one wants to offer something here, remember one can always post a link to the item from elsewhere- like Ebay or other source that has a picture of it. I know, this doesn't solve the posting a photo issue, but it is an acceptable work-around.

I use a phone and Android for a large percentage of the time as if I'm busy in work I might not get to my PC for the first half of the week. About the only thing that isn't as easy is choosing the correct gallery for uploading as that requires scrolling rather than just typing in a couple of letters, but apart from that I have no issues. I DO use the full desktop version on my phone, not the mobile version which Google insists is served up by default to mobile users. And I ditched Chrome because it wouldn't let me default to the desktop version, so I had to reselect it for every single page load.

Thanks for the tip. I'm on an android, I'll give it a try on PC. If that doesn't work I'll try again in the future.

Thank you, I get the Message when I click on the "Manage Attachment" button and the paperclip icon. Maybe I need more posts.
