Default ~Doodlers?~

Hi!
I love the look of doodles. What are your "must have" pens? Brand? size tip? do you like colors or tend to stick with basic black?

Thanks!

All of the above.......... I have a huge amount of felt pens, gel pens, pencils, prismacolors.

P.S. We may be related. There was a great-aunt Mildred McKinney on myt MIL's family.

# 1 Signo Gel Pen. Then I have an assortment of other pens, pencils, and markers that I use. For sparkly doodles I love the Stardust Pen.

I like the Micron brand pens, they come in differnet size tips, I like .005 and .05 the best. I get them at Michael's.

I've been doodling a lot with Staedtler pigment liner pens in black...got a set of five at Michael's. My favorite tip sizes are .03 and .05.

I use Staedtler Triplus Fineliner. Also works great for those times when your image doesn't stamp quite perfect. You can touch up with the pen and have a most perfect stamped image.

I usually just doodle at my desk.....so I just use whatever I have handy...even a #2 pencil! I actually think that is more daydreaming! I havent doodled on my projects much but I did just case a card from loislane35 and my customers LOVED the doodling on the edges. They all had their own way of doing it and we just used the SU markers.

I have a set of Signo gel sticks in .07, Micron pens in .05 that I use mostly for scrapbooking, a set of extra fine Sharpies that I use for envelopes and on other packing materials, a set of Susan Branch brush tip markers received as a gift that I use for cards but don't think they are archival and I have a few old Evanscraft Ultimate Craft Pens which came in some unusual colors (these are pretty old, but still working). I like to pick up pens when they are on sale, because I seem to go through a lot of them.

Very interesting thread! I have only ever doodled (only a few times) with my SU! markers. I just use the fine-tip end so that it matches my other colors.
SU! has turned me into a "matchy-matchy" freak!

I love Sakura gelly roll glaze pens for a glassy finish and Sakura souffle pens for a matt finish. White souffle is great for dark papers.

I also love Marvy pens with aquapainter.
Staedtler fineliners are great for doodling in lovely colours.

Finally I use Sharpie permanent to outline images I paint on pots and wood.
