I am starting to get into background stamps now and am waiting for my first one, Filigree, and then I want to get French Script and Just Jeans. What are some of yours and do you have any suggestions?

Canvas is very flexible as it goes with lots of cards. I love French Script to use w/ florals & botanicals; softswirls for wedding, florals and baby cards; and just a thought here - many of the wheels make great backgrounds when done on a diagonal.

I only have a few bk stamps, but I use my stipple plaid more than any other.
Of course, I just received French script (everything done with it is so pretty!) and I have Canvas on its way to me - so this may change.....
I have a background obsession! I use one on most cards I make. I have Canvas, French Script, Soft Swirls, Stipple Plaid, Filagree, Bitty Blossoms, and retired Musical Score, Pretty Paisley, Script, and Victorian Lace. That doesn't even count the small background sets I own ,like Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Background Basics and Petite Patterns. If my budget would allow , I would own EVERY background stamp that SU! sells!!! But if I must pick a favorite ( oh this is hard, like picking which child is my favorite!), I would have to say the retired Script is my old favorite . But Canvas is my new favorite. It's so versatile,I can use it on almost everything!!!
Happy Stamping!

I love Canvas, too. Just got it and have had a blast with it. I have to say, though, that Soft Swirls has been a favorite. It has been great with any Valentine card I've made, and it also goes great with Cute as a Bug and Ladybug Picnic. As for smaller background stamps, Itty Bitty is my favorite. VERY versatile.
Wow! Thanks for all the great ideas...I'm already building a wish list as we chat for the next party I'm going to on Sunday ;) So far I'm going for Canvas, French Script and Soft Swirls

I Love my Canvas bk, I want By Definition and French Script (?) too! Soon maybe soon. I have to say seeing all the great cards and other stuff on here definitely makes me want more stamps!!
I love the Canvas BG. I used to love stipple plaid, but now my style is starting to change with the canvas. I think I want By Definition next, but French script has caught my eye when I look through the gallery. Guess I need them all now! SCS has really opened my eyes to these BG stamps.
I love French Script, Harlequin, Fililgree, Antique Cracking... etc.
However, my absolute favorite is retired (boo hoo!) ------ Leafy Glade! Love that stamped with Versamark and brushed with an interference Pearl Ex. Stunning!
