Been looking though some of the submission for this week's limited supply challege and boy did I ever get alot of great inspiration for ideas for cards.
here is my second card. I saw one of the other cards that was beachy and I remembered a day-to-day calendar I had from last year. There were several pictures that were beachy. TFL

I actually made it a couple weeks ago, but I thought I'd still share since I don't often make a card with those requirements (and don't have time today)....
Arrgh. I made one only I'd forgotten the no patterned paper, even though I took note of it this morning. That's what I get for not checking again. Back to the drawing board for me, in that case...
Back with this - [url=//www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/978401?cat=6656}A Day at the Beach[/url] - although I prefer the one where I forgot about the patterned paper. It's in my gallery.
I grew up within earshot of the beach. When we were little, once the warmer weather came we used to go for picnics after school, and made up stories about a rock-pool we always played in. Later on when we were older we used to go swimming before breakfast - and come home for porridge to get warm again. I could climb up a tree in the garden in the evenings and listen to the sea and see three different lighthouses flashing away. Lots of summer memories there...

Well, I hope it's something that I tried at least!
Here's my card, but it diverted into a more springy image before I realized it... I was putting more focus on the 3 layer limit and the limit embellishment requirements! I just liked how it turned out so much I didn't want to start over.
I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and then lightly colored with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I used Word on my computer to type and print the sentiment onto vellum and then cut it to size and adhered on top of stamped image. I love the results! Hope you like it too. Thanks for looking at my gallery!
One of my absolute favorite things to do during the summer is go fishing so this image was PERFECT! I'm not going to lie, it was a real challenge for me to only use 3 layers with no dp! I hope I was limited enough on the embellishments too!

Summertime means swinging on a swing.... love it! This is a moldy oldy set, it doesn't even have an SCS gallery, but if you love Raggedy Ann, you'll love this image (I do)!~
