Here are some cards that meet Jen's challenge. I ran out *gasp* of very vanilla CS in the last few days, so I have been using colored CS alot.
These cards are part of an 8 card set with tote that someone at work requested as a gift set. I live in the Southwest and wish that SU had more of these type stamps available. I found these retired stamps on e-bay and they don't even have a gallery listing!
This challenge has taught me not to depend on white and vanilla too much! I managed to make a card without it!!!! Here's my creation.
Great challenge Jen - thank you.
now this sounds like fun. to make it a REAL limited supply challenge next time Jen, you should also restrict Sahara Sand and Kraft...and maybe even black ----bwaaaaahahaha!!!!!
Hi, ladies...Jen, THANK YOU for making me work outside my "box." I seriously don't think I've made 20 cards MY ENTIRE LIFE that didn't have white/tan/vanilla in them!!!
Although my card didn't start out that way, it is a case of Lauraly's (I needed some inspiration & found it in her gallery) - what a great gallery she has.
What a fun challenge, I have my card done just need to charge batteries and I will upload.
Thanks for the wonderful idea and the great images that have been posted.
Well, here's mine. I actually made this card this morning before I looked at this challenge! I was trying to prove to a friend that I could do something with the metal sheets from Making Memories that I bought last night! Love that cuttlebug!!!
It's not what I envisioned, but it fits the challenge. The snowflake is way too light. I'm not completely happy with the end result. Perhaps I'll tear it apart later and start over!
I made an entire set of Oriental themed cards this past week which fit this challenge. Only used barely banana, black, and dp. Who knew I was ahead of my time???????
Will try to fit a card in later.....don't think this will be too hard for me.....but who knows, I do tend to border with white.......a second set of p'willow cards I made this week only have white to pop the other colors......so this week has been a mostly non-white creative week.....
Jen, what a great challenge, thank you. I've looked and commented on all the cards so far and what a great lot they are. Now it's my turn to go and play. See you all soon. Hope I can do as well.
