Hi Everyone! I am filling in for Jen this week for the limited supply challenge.
Hope you enjoy this one. Read the items carefully!!! You have nothing to lose from doing this one----and sooo much to gain.A few friends and I have been hit hard this week with close family/friends passing away. I feel the best way to honor them is to reach out to others so....
This week is going to be a heart filled challenge. Here is what I want you to do:
1. Create a card for someone who is battling breast cancer (or any form of cancer) or for a family member of someone who has cancer....If you are lucky enough not to know anyone--you can send a card to fellow SCS member Maddy Mason Forums at Splitcoaststampers
(it is ok if you already sent her one--i have and am sending another!)
Or for Kim's (The MFT Lady) friend who is battling cancer: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
2. Use these specifications:
Do not use any dp (create your own if you want with stamps but nothing store bought)
Do not use any hardware (again, you can create your own faux brads, etc)
Do not use any ribbon (gasp!)--you can create your own faux ribbon with stamps OR paper (just not dp)
You may use punches and dies.
This is a hard one but on the positive side--you will create cards that are cheap to mail!
3. After creating your card, please post back here. There will be a random drawing on saturday morning....[COLOR="Red"]the winner (who follows all instructions above) will receive a stamp set of their choice from My Favorite Things www.mftstamps.com
I contacted Kim about purchasing a set for the winner and she wants to donate the set---what a doll!!! So, if you are the winner all you have to do is pick your set!!!! Awesome, ugh?
My samples:
I chose to use stamps from companies who are known for giving back (both MFT and Gina K designs do charity sets that benefit different groups--I love that!) Think Pink in October Snowy Penguin
Well, that is it. Have fun! Good luck--and remember to post back here to be entered into the drawing (my 11 year old will pick from a hat and the post number will be the number we will go by--we will keep picking until we get a post with a card (that follows all the above!)
The winner of the free stamp set from MY FAVORITE THINGS is post #111..Suzy_H. Suzy_H..look over the MFT website (www.mftstamps.com) and let me know what you would like!
Thanks so much to everyone for playing along---we were all winners in this challenge.
Maybe I'll get a chance to do this one. Been gone for several days, so haven't gotten to do any challenges. I myself am a breast cancer survivor.

great challenge, Cammie! although, you didn't have to go the no hardware route, but... i'll let ya slide this time!! hehe! i, unfortunately, have a couple of people i could send a card to, so i'll definitely work on this. thanks!
My Grandma survived breast cancer, my brother has been in remission for testicular cancer, and my aunt is in remission for lymphoma...PTL! But I do have other friends with family hurting and dealing with cancer. I'll work on one for my friend's dad who has been battling colon cancer for a few years now.
A really great challenge, Cammie and one that will bring smiles to lots of faces when they receive these beautiful cards. I am a 12 yr Breast cancer survivor so this is near and dear to my heart to be doing this for so many who are fighting the fight. Thanks for doing this challenge.
Here is mine, I hope you all like it! I actually made 2. I have one friend that ended radiation last month and one that will be ending radiation this week! So this challenge is timely!!! Thanks Cammie for filling in!
What a coincidence, Carolyn, that this LSC worked perfectly for a card I started on tonight for Mom's minister who we just found out his leukemia is no longer in remission. The LSC recipe was perfect for a male card which is always a difficult one for me.
I'll definitely play along with this one - what better way to be repaid for making a card than to know that it is going to go to someone who needs a bit of cheering up and a kind word!!! Great Challenge Carolyn.
Wonderful Idea!! It will be nice just to send my Mom a card - because!!!

my oldest ds has been in remission from leukemia for 6 yrs now, 2 more and we're clear, so, we know Cancer all too well. this is for my good friends' dad who just had surgery for prostrate cancer. thanks Cammie and TFL!!
Fabulous challenge, Carolyn. I have a good friend who just had her first round of chemo on Tuesday (and was feeling well enough to pick her little guy up from preschool on Wednesday -- I bumped into her in the parking lot). So I'm going to make two cards: one for Amy, and one for my mother-in-law -- a survivor! I'm so proud of stamp companies like Gina K. and MFT for being good, caring citizens who not only support our community here at SCS but also our global community.
