Daughter calls and says "Mom I need a Father's Day Card". Brain starts thinking huh (Truck, this weeks LSC is red, white & blue non patriotic) Got this one So up to my play room and this is what happens. My other daughter had stamped Crosshatch back in Nov'06 in red and green and gave up on a creation so I kept it (bc I never throw away anything, I may can use it later) Used the green last week and today here is the red fitting perfectly matted on brocade blue. Truck is colored with color pencils and blended with Gamsol then matted on brocade blue and real red. Sentiment is stamped in brocade blue and matted on BB and RR then sponged with RR. When I scanned this I was looking at it thinking "wow that crosshatch could look like a street map, how good am I". Vain I know but I have to toot my own horn.
This is my first attempt at the LSC challenge. Hope I pass.
Ok, this is my first challenge, but it won't be the last. What fun! My stamp has a flaw that makes the mom's hair come out splotchy, so I think I'd use a different mother/child stamp next time.
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post the url until I make two more posts, but it is in my gallery photo album.

You may want to rub your stamp very lightly with a very fine sandpaper and see if that helps with the hair. Your card is very nice.
I used patriotic colors and a few others too, and Stars & Swirls. So instead of a traditional partiotic card I created a scrapbook page for my son's cookbook, which I am terribly behind on. I hope to get some more pages added before he leaves home for his first apartment in just over 2 weeks.
Yesterday, I linked 2 cards that are currently in my gallery for this challenge and promised to make a new one. I was already in the process of making this card and just finished it. So, here is my new card for this challenge!
Here's mine. I did it late last night, kinda tired, so it's not perfect. Haven't done a challenge in quite some time, but I'm trying to design a card to swap and thought this would be a good time to do both that and the challenge.
I've been meaning to try these challenges for a long time and finally got around to writing a few down so i had them in my stamp room. I used patriotic colors but it is not a patriotic card. Can't wait to try more of the challenges!
I really like this challenge. Thanks! I love patriotic colors and I agree that they don't have to be standard red, white, and blue. I was out of the dimensional tape that I like, so I had to use pop up dots, which I don't like. One of the tags kept sliding down - it was strange, I couldn't get it to stay where I wanted it. Anyway, here's my attempt.

Well, I finally got this challenge done. I was inspired by a card Merniebug did and I cased the chickens she had on hers.
I did option 2.
Check out my card. Chickens with fence.
Hope you like it.:-D TFL!
