Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for week ending Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018
Is it just me, or does January always seem to last FOREVER and then, just like that, you wake up and realize it is February and you're left wondering where January went to?
I hardly got any crafty time in January, so I really want to get some good crafty time this month. Thank heavens that we have so many stellar CAS artists and their creations to inspire and motivate me. Here are a few that really stood out for me this past week:
Love Note by k dunbrook I just loved Karen's sweet curved white houses and how she incorporated color for maximum effect.
You did it! by #Francine Francine's coloring on the gold cup is AMAZING and I love how she did the rays behind it - her technique is top drawer!
Love by Birgit I especially liked the texture and visual interest Birgit created behind her focal heart.
Slow Down - glitter trail by dini This card is all around wonderful, but what really caught my eye was that Dina chose to make it a long card. That just seems so appropriate for the image and sentiment.
So there you have it - my CAS faves for the week. I'm sure you have CAS faves of your own - let us know what they are. If you have some non-CAS favorites, we encourage you to share them on the (non-CAS) Favorites thread, here.
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
-------------------------------- And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point --------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Thank you Debbie for starting the thread. Thank you Karen for sending the happy mail to the wonderful crafters on this thread. We really appreciate you volunteering your time.
Sorry, my list is pretty short AND late. My husband has Sunday's off for 6 weeks! Woohoo. I love it when he is home but it also means I don't get to stop by SCS until way late on Sunday!
Thank you so much, Susan, for including my cling wrap background (sky) card in your fave list! I really appreciate it. Thank you, Karen, for sending me the happy notification! Hideko :-)
