I completely adore bold bursts of fabulous colors?! Whether it's seasonal color, colors on fireworks, an eye-catching display of colors in blown glass, gleaming iridescent color, or the gorgeous new color of a friend's manicure .... color brightens your world and mine! So as I look ahead on the calendar to the eventual blah grays & browns seen here in Texas winters, I'm challenging all of us to enjoy a gallery display of fabulous colors!
Bursting with Color Challenge! Use pigment powders to create a splash of color as a background or as a deliciously colored piece of cardstock from which to die cut your focal point, etc. Mix pigments & water to delight us with color, please!
Product suggestions include Brushos, Infusions, or Color Bursts ... and there are likely more. I typically use watercolor paper, but Bristol Smooth can also work.

***Big (((hugggsss))) & thanks for these wonderful samples from talented SCS peeps, Ann (annsforte3) and Holly (hbrown)!
Good morning stampers! So glad to have you join us for the second week of Falliday Fest 2023!! North Texas has been filled with gray skies for 6 or 7 days, so the Burst of Color challenge is right on time! Today happens to be my birthday, and color makes me happy! You're welcome to bring it on!
Ann's card shares a brilliant way to use papers you've splashed with pigment powders! Thank you, Ann!
Happy birthday, Bev!!!! I'm guessing you chose this day for your challenge on purpose. I really enjoyed doing my backgrounds for this challenge. We too have not seen the sun for days but today is cold but glorious. Our leaves are falling like crazy, now that it's cold. Birdbath water is frozen. Enjoy your day! Happy Birthday Bev!!!! I had fun with my brushos today and my fingers show it. Our fall has suddenly taken a turn from beautiful leaves and warmer than average temps to much colder and all the leaves on the ground. I had to get out my down jacket this weekend. Yikes! No snow....yet!

I'm in happy awe of the technique you used on your card, Jean! Such a great look!

Your wintery card is divine, Polly! I know the feeling of the big weather temp drop ... we have a freeze warning tonight, and I'm in sleeves, long pants, socks .... not my faves, but here it comes! lol
We should all trip down to Holly's house in central TX ... surely it's warmer there!
I don't have brushos, or pigment powder, so I searched for an alternative. Suddenly I thought of Koolaid packs, so I tried some, and it seemed to work, it's definitely bright! It's a little sticky, that might improve, but just in case, I probably wouldn't try this again! I definitely enjoyed myself!
Thanks for the fun challenge! I enjoy using watercolor powders- went for blues and greens- fussy cut my frogs and lili pads Here's FF23TexasGrammy Hoppy Birthday To You
