Lydia or Rebekah - I switched Janine and I on the planning sheet, but my new keyword did not change to my user name on November 3rd. It did change to Janine's user name on November 1st. I know the keyword is generated by a formula, but I think it is missing on November 3rd. Thanks!
I will be adding those in as I collect the most favorites from hostesses!
I have never taken part before so cannot access any of the "secret areas" and to be honest I am not sure what I have let myself in for! Will I get access please so I can work out whether my theme fits in at all or whether I need to change? Thanks

Only available if you have your access sorted folks
Yes. I choose not to be a hostess, so I did not gain access to that area. Since this event is for everyone, I am hoping for a shopping list. My daughter likes to stamp sometimes, especially for events that do not require her to pay out money for the fan club. If she gets excited again, she will pay the money and join the fan club. In the meantime, I look for events she can participate in and possibly get excited about.

I do not have the power to give access to the host/hostess forum. I've done what I can do for that and let Lydia know the names of who needs access.I think you've had access to the planning google worksheet and that should show you the challenges that others are hosting.

When the shopping list is complete, I will share it on the open access side. I have been busy all weekend with home things and am easing back into online things. I refuse to get stressed over Falliday!!! I'm doing it b/c it's fun !!
I'm seriously getting excited for Falliday now! The last week has been sooo busy at home with various activities I've had to be present for and/or run! But now I'm home free and can solely focus on Falliday and I couldn't be more excited!
Let's get the chatter going and settle in for some fun times.
YIKES! How on earth have I missed this? THIS IS MY FAVORITE THING OF THE YEAR! At least in terms of crafting! YAY!

What is this? I don't see any explanations anywhere. I saw a 'shopping list' only but from the posts on here it looks like that's not available yet, but will be. Is it like DTGD or is it a food thing?

Falliday Fest is an annual Splitcoast festival of challenges every other day for two weeks (3 challenges and 1 tutorial every other day for two weeks). The challenges and tutorials are geared towards making fun things for the holidays. Not as intensive as DTGD and it's open to everyone. Challenges start on Monday, October 23. Not a food thing, except that we do have a fun recipe sharing post here, Falliday Fest 2023 Recipe Collection - Splitcoaststampers
I volunteered to make it happen this year, and b/c it's not being run by our amazing coordinators, it hasn't gotten advertised as much as usual. Just doing the best I can to keep this fun festival alive for us! I hope you can play along with us!

it is going to be 2 week of challenges ( similar to say DTGD but, not a stress thing, its a few challenges and maybe a tutorial every other day?) something like that. and this is the open forum by the way.
so any questions you have ask them. a lot of the chatter you are seeing here is from people who are hosting a challenge. I believe the first round of challenges will go live next week on Monday?
they are challenges to help you get a little bit done ahead of the holidays for your crafting to take some of the stress off of last minute crafting. ( I think I remember that correctly) but, I often type faster than I explain so the words come out scrambled.
Thanks for explaining, everyone! @annsforte3 I'll give it a go! Mind you I've already made about 30-40 Christmas cards to sell on behalf of the Beacon Trust that I volunteer with, and there's no Thanksgiving here (I don't participate in Halloween) so more Christmas card techniques is fine with me! I will be making Springaday cards down here, lol!
I always miss the announcements of upcoming events and only find out about them when people start posting to the gallery...I'm glad to know about this one in advance! I'm not sure how much I'll be able to join in but I'll try. What are the dates and the rules? This is all new to me...

The dates are Monday October 25 - November 3. There will be challenges daily and past favorite tutorials from the gallery. The rules are to have fun! Post with the keyword given in the challenge or tutorial. I do not know if there is a specific gallery, like Dare to Get Dirty. Anyone can play regardless of Fan Club member or not. I usually make one or two cards with the challenges, but have never done all. Many people love this and make all of the cards and tutorials.
Jeanette, I think there is too much swimming through my head for me to keep the date straight. I didn't have a calendar handy and I miscalculated because I knew today is the 20th. For some reason I thought Monday was farther away.
I am scheduled for an MRI bright and early Monday. So I am drinking water hot and heavy to get my veins hydrated. Anyway, I think it was wishful thinking that Monday was actually farther away than it is. This is routine for me as I do this every year.
I hope everything goes smoothly on Monday, Lisa. I have had my share of MRIs too... for me it's the vertigo I get whenever I'm on my back that makes them miserable experiences.
Lisa...Don's birthday is Monday so I knew when the 23rd is...since its a Monday then Christmas is on a Monday and New Year's Day is on a Monday...also it means our oldest Granddaughters birthday is on a Monday!
Tidbit trivia from my house to yours!
Will be thinking of you on Monday...I had an MRI once, it took 3 tries before it got accomplished.

Thank you Rebekah for taking the reins this year! I'm excited to join in. I plan on putting out the word on my Instagram. If any of you are on social media you can use the "ad" or write up that she listed on post #57.
Will there be any zoom calls planned? I haven't chatted with anyone for along time...it would be fun.
I'm glad we have 2 weeks for all the challenges...let the Fest begin!!

What a coincidence Lisa. I'm scheduled for an MRI on my knee Monday, the 23rd at 7:30 a.m. We live an hour and a half away, so we will definitely be getting up very early. I'm hoping it's nothing serious. I've been on crutches for a week. I can't put weight on my left leg. I turned 70 on the 13th and now my body is rebelling...telling me to slow down! Well, that's not going to happen LOL!

Good luck with your MRI. Crutches are no fun. I have been on crutches when I was much younger. Mine is because several women in my family have had breast cancer and that places me at a higher risk. I go through this every year just for peace of mind, mostly. It is not due to the hormone that most people have that get it as my sister was tested for all if them. Finding my vein is the difficult part so it is at the main hospital where there will be a specialist on hand to locate that vein for the kidney test and the port for contrast.

I hope everything goes smoothly with your MRI and they find a vein that works the first time!
Where does one find the challenges? Will you start a new thread in the forum? (And a huge 'thank you and well done' to the person who moved all the old rubbish from previous years someplace else, lol 😂)

Haha, that was me! A new Master Challenge thread will start tomorrow morning!
GOOD MORNING! Happy Falliday morning! We are working behind the scenes to bring it all together and hopefully be live at 8:00 am CST! Every other day there will be 3 challenges and 1 throwback tutorial posted.
Special THANK YOU to @annsforte3 for all the behind the scenes gallery work she is doing to help me! I appreciate it so much!! Let's give her a special shout out!!
I am so excited for this to start! Thank you for continuing it. Hosting any event - stamping-related or not - has a lot of behind-the-scenes action and I am grateful for the work you are doing to make this fun for everyone.

I am very grateful too...give me an 'R', give me an 'E', give me a 'B', give me an 'E'....well you get where I'm going with this. We're lucky to have this event at all. Thanks to Ann too...she helped me yesterday because my memory of how to host is fuzzy at best.
