A side-note for anyone that uses pieces of polarfleece for crafting...
J's has their remnants at 75% off the clearance price...I bought pieces for dog bedding...cheaper than dog blankets! When the dog pees in her kennel I just toss the blanket rather than wash it...(we are dog sitting for the holiday weekend!)

Happy Thanksgiving! Our turkey is on and made some dishes yesterday, so I am ready! I am thankful for everyone of you! Praying for you, Patty and Shelly.
Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, enjoying a cup of cinnamon flavored coffee. Turkey is in the oven.
My hubby is having some pain, which might be related to his chronic kidney stones. Hope not...we are 750 miles from home and his powerhouse pain killers. So far, OTC meds have kept things in check. I think the aroma of apple pie is also helping!
Hope everyone has a great weekend, maybe with a bit of Black Friday stamping or shopping!

We are skipping the turkey this Thanksgiving. We will be leaving in 4 days and I didn't want to try to deal with all the leftovers before we leave. We had our TG get together with one of our daughters and her family over last weekend. Had a great time in Galveston. So we are eating a steak today.

We had our Thanksgiving Sunday, because my youngest daughter wouldn’t be here today. Kathy, my husband did the same thing, bought a 22lb turkey. I never buy that big a turkey. Here it is Thursday....still lots of turkey. Today, I made a big bowl of turkey salad for sandwiches. Sent some to work with my oldest daughter.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day. Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just got home and was so delighted to see all of your wonderful comments and congratulations. I always enjoy the challenges even if I don't get them done in time or posted. I would also like to thank all of the sponsors for their gracious generosity but I have to send another HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that put so much time and effort into creating such an amazing FallidayFest - thank you, thank you, thank you. Congratulations to everyone who posted so many wonderful cards even if you don't win a prize but here's to hoping that your name may still come up.
Turkey breast in the crockpot with garlic cloves, whew, the roasting garlic smelling up the house is making me hungry! Trying to decide if & what to make for dessert. Watching the parade & dog show on TV so feeling lazy. Waiting till later to try calling family members spread far away. Wishing everyone a joyous, thankful & tasty day!

Enjoyable day with family and nice to be the sous chef and dishwasher instead of being in charge of it all. I did make the ham which turned out well. My DD and SIL drove to visit his mom in the hospital. She's critical but stable. Much to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Turkey carved from the bones and in the fridge, along with the sides and the pumpkin pie. I will admit to being a pig, but in my defense I eat turkey patties, broccoli and sweet potatoes the rest of the year, lol.

We made it home about 6:30 tonight, our meal was hospital food
We'll have a simple turkey meal tomorrow evening, DH still doesn't have a big appetite.
We have a journey ahead of us but at least we're home!
Harvest Blessings to you all!
Patty, glad to hear he is better and you are home. Prayers for him and several others on here who are ailing.
DH joined the ranks of the hospitalized last Sun, and got home late Wed. He woke up early Sunday totally disoriented - kept changing from one chair to another, headed for the kitchen when he wanted the bathroom, etc. I finally convinced him we needed the ER. He was better within 24 hours - the only solution we can determine was a change in meds. READ those warning labels! I also think the Parkinson's is worsening.
Not much time to shop or cook but I managed to round up some essentials --frozen pumpkin pie (Marie Callenders is pretty good), cranberries, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole - with a couple of pieces of leftover chicken! Having him home and feeling better is much more important than any meal!
Who all is online shopping today? I have placed a couple orders. Some good buys out there.
I did yesterday at Spellbinders...I don't know how to redeem points so that didn't happen...I just added to them!
Ran to Michael's last night to get something for another SCSer...and today we stopped at JoAnn's to see if they had any Ms. Sparkle tape in their bins...and yes they did!
My husband saves for this time of year for purchases for his woodworking hobby...we had to go to Fleet Farm to purchase cake pans on which he will baking soda blast names! Small scale process but the end result is personal and so far those he's made them for have appreciated them.

Congrats to the other Taylored Expressions winners- my first as well- such a generous prize!!!
We went to hubbys side and my side yesterday- lots of driving.....all I had to make was Broccoli Salad. My sis won a 30# Turkey...!!! So, I am not buying one, I was able to bring some home for leftovers : )
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, Turkey hugging or not..... and that you did not break the bank with all of the fab Black Friday deals ; )
No prob on the BF sales as I don't participate...I hate shopping in crowds every day of the year and refuse to become part of the frenzy on T-day. Just home from viewing the new release film "Wonder" with 13 year old granddaughter(my only granddaughter among the 7 grands). We both teared up and agreed that families and kids at school and more need to watch and discuss it heavily. What a great movie to reach folks. Hope it helps them see.

Joyce Ann, that’s a good idea. I thought about hitting the little stores in the strip mall, but I really don’t want to get in the middle of fast and furious shoppers.

today, I went to the grocery store. does that count?
(did place two online orders (so far) but, really it's going to be a quiet year here I think so, I don't have that big of a to-do list as far as gifts go.
I figured most prizes were already awarded, there are a lot of prizes! I only shopped at spellbinders on-line. This evening I would like to look at Stamp-N-Storage as i need more of the magnetic die holders!
The boxes my husband made for the dies are huge! Lots of room for growth!!!! He made 3 boxes...

I bought these sheets and thought I had purchased plenty...
Then I started putting my sets on the sheets...and well...I need more...
I forgot to stop and see the shop when I took my favorite cousin that is here visiting from Australia to Hutchinson where Stamp-N-Storage is located...

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe, so I was working, but I did manage to do some online shopping this weekend. On Sunday, I also spent some time having a coffee (or two) outside in the sun, and I managed to create a few cards. So I can only conclude it was a good weekend.
Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend first in the DC area at my brother's with my Dad and my Philly kids there. My married son and DIL as well as my college DD rode with me and that was fun. Then we drove the Philly contingent (DD, SIL and oldest DS) back Friday and spent the rest of our time there. It was a REALLY long travel day home yesterday with LOTS of people on the road, nultiple fender benders and/or construction that slowed traffic for long stretches and also lots of people at all the stops. Was very glad to see my driveway at 1AM. Moving slowly this morning but still a full day to accomplish.
Welcome back, Lydia. Just DH and I for thanksgiving this year as he doesn’t like bustling family gatherings, but we did it up right with the whole menu and managed to eat it all in three days. I’m not stepping on my scale for two weeks.

I made that mistake this morning...I don't know how much I gained since I didn't move the weights to make that knowledge known, I just know the weights needed to be moved to the right and I was not that interested in knowing the truth!
I won't fast with Lydia but I won't be eating cherry pie or chocolate pie today...both were my downfalls for the last 3 days.
