Congratulations to all the winners! Thanksgiving is a tiresome holiday, isn't it? I spent a week prepping, a day cooking and two days cleaning up. Just before dinner the guys went out to toss a ball around and my husband pushed himself too hard, blew out his knee and is now on crutches. :-x He'll have an echocardiogram for his heart issues and an MRI for his leg today. What a year this has been.
Sorry to hear about your dh's knee....no fun!
I had a piece of pecan pie and a piece of pumpkin cream cheese on Thanksgiving day. DD1 left her 4 layer pumpkin cream cheese cake at our house and I might have eaten 2-3 pieces of that since Friday!
Bob Ross was a fabulous artist who had a television show and would paint an entire gorgeous picture in one half hour, explaining every step. He was a nature lover. Sometimes he had birds, or even a squirrel, on his set, and he would talk to them while he painted. The finished paintings were immediately put up for sale. He had very frizzy hair, and he was the nicest, most gentle man I’ve seen in a long time. Many quality art stores for fine art carry the Bob Ross line of products.

The like stays grayed out, but if you leave and come back, it shows you liked it.
Chia head, like Chia pet...you've never heard of those? O my word! DH and the boys used to tease me every year that they were getting me a chia pet for Christmas. They are clay pots in shapes of pets or people and you water them and grass grows hair on their heads on on the animals bodies!
Who would have thought I could learn so much from SCS that has nothing to do with cardmaking!!!!!
Thanks for giving me info...I've never been a TV watcher, even as a child and our children basically grew up without modern TV though they watched videos at times...Their favorites were old TV westerns...
I do remember Chia pets though I never purchased one or had one.

I did not eat pie, BUT Thanksgiving was also my birthday this year, so I indulged in my favorite---- pineapple upside-down cake, made by my youngest son. YUM-Mo! Thanks for the win today! So excited to purchase some new fun stamps for more cards from the Cats Pajamas, will pick out my favorites!
I hope you all remember Lydias blog post with the Bob Ross stamps! I always love reading her blog posts. That one was really fun since I enjoy watching the old shows on Netflix still. Sooo relaxing!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving with friends like family. And then a lovely long weekend together as a little family. Can't wait for Christmas break now!!
Congratulations to all the winners! I won the Yetti prize for TCP several years ago and it was a huge bonus to me. Such fun cool stamps!!! Was such a fun shopping experience!
I still have my very own Bob Ross painting that I created during a Bob Ross workshop back in the Netherlands many years ago, full of happy little North-American trees. Guess I will need to check out more of the SCS challenges and maybe play along...

I have one too! I took one of the BR classes at CHA and we painted a beach scene - I've forgotten everything I learned but it was amazing!
Congrats to the Simon Says Stamp winners. I'm enjoying following the thread and the fun topics that come up. . . pie, Bob Ross, and of course the kitties! We went to Colorado for a quick trip where we originally were going to ski, but then my oldest daughter broke her foot running, so we just scoped out all the cute ski resort towns. . .Beaver Creek, Breckinridge, Vail. We don't a lot of snow in NW Arkansas, so we enjoyed the snow covered trees. Reminded me of many of the cards created here on Splitcoast!

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
Congratulations to the latest winners. I had a hard time picking a favorite challenge....I love them all and find inspiration in each. I often get stretched out of my comfort zone with brighter colors, fun folds, new techniques etc but end up loving the results. I love discovering new ways to use supplies and often something new becimes something that I do/use all the time.
I'll have to see if Bob Ross is on youtube, we don't have Nexflix but I've learned how to use youtube (hint, that's how I found understandblue videos!) and I will be walking on the treadmill again soon, which my husband made me a stand on the treadmill so I can watch youtube videos while I walk...

Congrats to the newest winners- awesome prize too! (Aren't they all- lots of very generous sponsors!!!).
I love the sketch challenge too- I did not see it on the list.
I had a great time crafting yesterday. After dinner, my dear sweet Mother (88 yrs old : ) ) who I care for had an episode of rapid heart rate again- also had one Saturday Pm. So, we ran to the ER. She also has bronchitis with lots of wheezing. They zoomed her in lickety split and worked her up, gave her a breathing treatment and fluids. She sounded so much better. She got an all clear- labs and chest Xray good, so here we are at home taking it easy and going to do art this afternoon. Yeah! So Thankful she did not get admitted!
I have never heard of Bob Ross- will have to look him up.
I did not hug a moderator today, but I did check out who they are. That's a start, isn't it? I think they are doing a wonderful job. I would be more than happy to hug them in person if they happened to pop over for a visit here in Crete. I will even make sure I have plenty of Greek yoghurt, walnuts and Cretan thyme honey in the house. ;);)
My husband and I would love to pop over for a visit and then you could really hug a mod ;-). It's been at least six years since we were in Greece, even longer since we were in Crete. Our last two visits were to Corfu and to Astros in the Peloponnese.

I still think you guys need to make a US tour! I would meet you in Chicago and bring you to Indiana for a visit.
