I like the schedule for this year. Less pressure but still lots of cards and projects. I will be able to start today with Lydia's Blue Thanks.... Love it. BBL.

YESSSSS!
Today's challenges are up!
It's election day here - don't forget to vote if you have a local election!
It looks like fun, but I'm not sure I have a die that will work. I've tried a word die but it pulled out of the Layers.
Kathy, did you add the thin layer of card at the bottom? I did a lot of experimenting for the TLC with different dies once I got napkins that worked well. I thought that maybe narrower dies like words would be more likely to peel apart but in fact I found the opposite. But you get more of a puffy textured result with more solid dies, like the Bethlehem one I used. I'm quite sure you have something that will work. And for sure I got different results depending on the napkins. The ones I grabbed from work did peel apart more. Anne said to me the cheaper the better, and I can imagine some of the thin takeout ones might work really well.

Yes, I added the card at the bottom. Maybe that was too thick. I think I used recollections 110#. I will give it a go later with Georgia pacific or whisper white. My napkins are Vanity Fair everyday casual napkins by Georgia pacific. I have doctors appt today and leaving soon, so I will give it a go later. I'll link it up to the TLC challenge too, if I get it to work.

I'm trying to figure out what the 2 of you are talking about...in my head I'm thinking Kathy is talking about the POP card and how can a die not work for that card?
Of course if you tried a napkin for the pop card it wouldn't work...
I'm not feeling great so it took me a while then I remember there must be a tutorial that I had no idea about...
Now...off to look for that...

For the napkin tutorial, I used an everyday napkin that you buy at the grocery store -200 for 3.00. It is really thin and has a texture embossed on it. Worked like a charm.

Help! I just went to look at my gallery, and one of the pictures has disappeared, replaced by one from another category. It was there yesterday, accepted, had comments, etc. it's the one with the three robins.

I think I know what the problem is.
Are you uploading from an iPad or iPhone?
Both your robin and your cracked pearls uploads are called image_by_Vannie.jpeg. It's important that files have unique names, otherwise the server doesn't know which one to call up. The date is automatically added when you upload, so having something just called image uploaded on two different days is OK, because the date differentiates between them. But two on the same day end up looking identical to the server. Have you any way of renaming them? For some reason your santa card is image_1, which is why it's still showing correctly even though it was uploaded on the same day.
I'm just getting started on the challenges. Looks like so much fun and what an amazing gallery already! Woohoo!
My parents are visiting in a few days for a week and a half so I don't think I'll be able to do them all but wanted to thank all the hostesses as well and everyone adding to the gallery!
Well, I'm off to a bit of a slow start. I have a couple of challenges done but have to photo and upload. I'm anxious to try the tutorials to encourage myself to do things other than 2D cards. So fun!
I must not be doing a step to get my photos into the individual challenge galleries. They appear in the Falliday Fest Gallery and in my gallery but none are appearing in the specific challenge gallery. Help!

Are you adding the keyword? Each challenge has a unique keyword.
Loving this more relaxed schedule! Thank you to whoever is responsible. Btw, are we going to have a spreadsheet to track challenges/tutorials? If that's too much to ask, no problem. It just made it really convenient in the past to keep track. Although, in the last Falliday Fest (2017), even WITH the spreadsheet I managed to miss uploading one project that I'd done! :P
Today's challenges are up! Sorry for the delay - I attended my nephew's Veteran's Day program this morning - my husband was the veteran he brought, and he's in the choir so they sang patriotic songs and it was so cute!

What an honor for your husband...and for your nephew...and for our country that he served willingly...thank him.

Happy Friday to all! Lydia, I love me a good spreadsheet, so thanks for posting that today. And much gratitude to your DH for his service. Sounds like a great start to your day. I'm working on the napkin tutorial to start the day. It is 84 here in SoCal right now.
Am also enjoying the slightly slower pace for this FF, though if I continue to be "emergency daycare" for the four grands under 6 it will not feel as though it was slower...am sitting here after my wonderful fun day on Monday with not another project started----unless you count printing off instructions and notification sheets doing something.....Room of Chaos is in the basement OR excuse me lower level and there is no way I leave the grands upstairs unsupervised.....already had to make a trip to Urgent care today with one who split his chin open in the bathroom by falling on who knows what (we can't find any blood on any edges of anything in there) and now has a glued together chin so to speak....better than stitches----...but I am scribbling ideas about completing the challenges on each sheet while I referee excuse me I mean supervise today's group of two ---who are twins---and the question arises---if I turned the purse into a briefcase and filled it with Thank you notes for said grands to use at Christmas --would it still count? Of my 7 grands, six yes count them SIX are boys.....of course I could make the purse anyway for the lone girl......
loving the topics of the challenges and tutorials--new skills to learn on several and the napkin thing I am really looking forward to trying......

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
I will need strength at the end of December when I have the 5, 2 and 8 months old for an entire weekend!! All girls! I always said my five sons would have girls!! We couldn't!
Oh my gosh...I didn't even know this had begun! I'm glad I looked tonight since I might just get in some crafting for the first weekend in a long time with no company and no work planned...yippee!
I need help! Can someone please tell me how to change a card from the Falliday Fest gallery to the Technique-Holiday Blitz gallery??? I uploaded my cards for the Tutorials #2 & #3 into the Falliday 2019 gallery. THEN discovered they should go elsewhere. :( I guess it pays to read instructions before doing something. Any advice? TIA!
