Michelle - you are a talented artist! I love looking at your submissions. For everyone, I just was looking at the gallery and love all the beautiful creations there. I'm behind on mine, but now hopefully I'll have some inspiration and get mine in.
This is my first time participating in this monthly scripture challenge. I'm so happy to be here. I am the Challenge Hostess for Bible Verse Thursday at CPC, so I hope it's okay that I used my sample project for that, in this challenge as well. I primarily make cards and digital work, so scrapbooking is a little out of my comfort zone. However, my project this month is a 12x12 scrapbook page and I'm pleased with how it came out. I used one of my favorite vintage images and this scripture:
In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 5:3
As this is my first time participating in this challenge, please feel free to let me know if I've done anything that doesn't follow the norm. I'm looking forward to checking out the other projects that have been posted here. Thanks so much for letting me participate. ~ Abby
Here's my card for April. I have been MIA for several months. That's missing in allergies! I've had such a rough allergy season this year and I haven't been stamping. This is the first card I've made since then. So, I have several months to catch up on and I hope to do that. Also, I hope to go back and see everything I've missed these last few months as well. Glad to be back! ~ Diane
Where is everyone? Are you waiting for me to get caught up? Just kidding. I'm hoping to see your creations soon. It's such a blessing to see how everyone uses God's word with their stamping.
Welcome. Glad to have you aboard! We look forward to seeing your artwork. It is very inspirational to see how everyone uses God's word in their creations.
Oh, I'm behind on the challenges, but I certainly haven't forgotten! Here's my card for June with Psalm 46:1, a verse which really encourages me with the assurance of God's presence and help through trouble. I combined it with the sketch challenge for today. Refuge and Strength
i am so glad to see this challenge, i have been thinking about doing this exact same idea, to memorize scripture by making cards to help you as you memorize them. This is fabulous. i had thought to do smaller versions, but i like your 6x6 idea. Thank you.
Welcome Lorrayne! We'll look forward to seeing your creations. It is a wonderful thing to use God's word with our stamping. Glad to have you join us. God bless you.
Hi,
I'm finally back, after my mother passed away in May.
I have submitted for: BVC11 - August - Psalms 46:10. My card is there in the gallery; but I don't remember how to link it to here, for ya'll to click on.
Hi Mary, I found your card. It is beautiful. The meaning behind the verse you used is inspiring. My heart goes out to you during this time of grief. My mother passed some years ago, so I know it can be a difficult time. I hope you can find some comfort in God's word and using verses in your stamping.
Here I am with my July and August Creations. I finished them in the appropriate months, but didn't get them downloaded, due to two eye surgeries in the past two months.
I have caught with your posts and enjoyed looking at and commenting on the new BVC postings by Michele, Michelle H, Abby, Diane, Bfinlay and Mary. BTW, welcome back to Diane and Mary. Welcome to Abby.
Also, a welcome to our new posters, NavWyf & Lorrayne. I look forward to seeing your creations.
I just found this thread. What a wonderful idea. I know it is late in the year...is it ok to just jump in? I joined SCS a little more then a month ago. Last Christmas I bought my first punch but didn't really start getting into scrapping until this spring when I decided to give all of the teachers that are involved in my children's education cards! I included church teachers as well...that's a lot of cards! At the time all I had was my imagination for inspiration...and I am not all that creative honestly. I have been having a blast since registering with SCS and my cards are getting better!
I love the idea of making a little book with a scripture page for each month!!!
Hi Angie! It's fine to jump in mid-year! I'm a month or two behind and just catching up. Glad you're finding lots of inspiration on SCS, and I've met some great friends here too. It was really thoughtful to give all your children's teachers cards, I'm sure it was encouraging for them to know that all their efforts are appreciated! So look forward to seeing you here - blessings!

Thank you so much! I hope to work on mine tomorrow.
Still working on catching up, here's my July card combined with today's sketch challenge: Marigolds
I LOVE this verse and practically had it memorized already since the song keeps going through my head, especially that last phrase..."His love endures forever"! In the middle of a lot of change and some rough times, this mean so, so much.

What a work of art! Your card is so beautiful! A wonderful scripture!!!
I still haven't sat down to work on mine for this month. I WILL soon. We have had one thing after another around here and I keep pushing this aside to work on something else. I really want to though. SOON!
Oops! I thought I was just a couple of months behind, but not the whole year!. . WOW! Hasn't this year sped past? Please forgive me for dumping the whole load out like this. . .
It will take me a few days to get through the beautiful gallery, but as soon as this is posted I'm off to look at what you each have shared! I know it will be a huge blessing! Thank you!
So, I have been on SCS for several years, but just found this thread. Where are the monthly challenges found? I kind of skimmed thru this, but, is is right that you just do a project once a month with a scripture on it? I love this idea.

Hi Sharon,
Yep, just pick your own scripture and decide how you are going to use it
Most people do cards, some do scrapbook pages or journal pages.
I thought the Bible Verse was perfect for this scrap page!
I was looking for a title, and decided this was better.
I am not going to try to catch up, I think I will just do a Bible Verse project for each month going forward. I have three boxes of Bible verse stamps or more!
I'm still playing catch up with my BVC cards - this one I combined with a Verve sketch - oh, how I love this verse, and it's one I'm trying to put more and more into practice... August Card
Wow, how have I missed this thread? I've been working on Scripture memory again....on my own, not just with my kids! This will be a great motivator. Thanks for the challenge!
well I think this would be good for me,as it will get me to
focus on god's word. Also it will remind me that god gives
us the time to
play and share.
So will give it a try, thank you.
