Our discussions many times revolve around our concern for children, and their lack of spiritual guidance within their homes. Many, many children in this day and age, grow up in homes where Sunday School and Church are just not a part of their lives. These kids have no idea where to turn for guidance in every day challenges that life hands them. How sad it is that so many youth don't know and experience the love of a "Church Family", and the strength and support that lies therein!! Our teachers are severely limited anymore as to what they can share with their students as far as spiritual guidance. I pray, especially during this upcoming Holy Week that we can all find a way to reach out and share the good news of Christ our Lord with those who are aching to hear and receive His word!!
Happy Easter to you and yours, and God's blessings to you today and always!
Hey there! Just wanted to tell you I am blessed by you and your words... and to let you know you've hit the nail on the head. I am a youth/assistant pastor's wife, and I work with the teens too, and I am also a ECE teacher in a Christian daycare. I have to remind myself daily how blessed I am to be able to share JESUS and His love with the children in my care (who in turn take him home to tell their parents.) I was just blessed today by hearing a story from a parent of a little 3 or 4 year old girl I teach, who went home with such joy and happiness, and was telling everyone she saw that she had Jesus in her heart cause Miss Mitzi told her so! (I am Mitzi) I am tearing up as I write this... sorry if there is spelling errors. I am sooo blessed to work with the children and the youth and tomorrows future!! Thanks for caring!! (and sharing your heart) May you be blessed!!!
I just found this thread in March and have been working on a project that will include one scripture verse per month for 2009...this will be a gift for my best friend.
The pages will be mounted on chipboard with spiral coils to connect them...right now only the cover has the punches for the coils.

That's incredibly nice of you to do this for your friend. I love the cover.
I'm so excited that I came across this thread last week. I was so inspired,
I spent the weekend getting caught up & hope to join this wonderful group
every month. Never have download or posted before hope I can figure this
out. Thanks for starting this group it's just what I need to get me learning
some bible verses & putting some projects together.
At on time i was a Sunday school teacher for 1st graders. So funny to talk and teach them. i was in high school as the teacher and that been about 4 years now. So I saw this thread and thought htis owuld be the perfect oportunity to learn a littel more about my bible by the verse. I most likely will not make tomorrows dead line but i will make up for it. i love th idea so much. but writing in a verse will not work with my hand writing. (as crafty and artisy as i am i have hand writing worse then a doctor) any one have some ideas???? i have a stencil but its pretty big. should i get a littler one? Thnaks:-D

I did mine on the computer and printed it on an address label, decorated around it.
Also, you can find rubber stamp verses at Hobby Lobby, etc.

I also print mine on the computer - I think that's what most people are doing. I print mine on vellum. If your printer will accept cardstock (mine won't) then you can print right on your project.
I have a lot to catch up on but I gave it a shot- what's crazy is that I am looking at stamp sets and running through BV in my head to see if they will work. We had a verse at church yesterday and as soon as the pastor read it and had the picture up I had an immediate picture in my head of what I will do with it (this one isn't it) I have awards night tomorrow and it will be extremely busy so I am uploading tonight. I hope that's okay! I'll be back throughout the weekend next weekend to catch up!
This my 6x6 that I made for the April challenge. I will be playing catch up to get caught up. I chose this verse because it's always meant a lot to me and I thought it would be fitting for the challenge this month in honor of my DH and our 20th anniversary on the 15th. Tax day. ha,ha. Hope you like.
[QUOTE=stamp_momma;9445156]Hmmm, thanks sweet Haylie, but there's nothing great about me...I'm just trying to be diligent, and I need accountablity.
Lori- I think you are pretty wonderful to think of this neat challenge. I visited your blog and your gallery and I am impressed- I am motivated to go home and try to do even a fraction of your awesome work...I'll be posting them soon!:-D
Well, I'm starting to catch up Just one more to download. I'll have to do it later though. It's to get the kids up & go get the older ones from school. This is my 6x6 for March hope you like.
How awesome is this!? I read the Paper Smiles blog but this never caught my attention till today. I have been praying for God to put a Godly Christian woman in my life as an accountability partner. I may not have found one that is close but I plan to try to participate and learn right along with you all. AWESOME IDEA and I love all the work I have seen so far. I am off to stamp my first creation...after I soak up a few ideas.
HUGS
Kimberly
