I had to pop in and share what I found at Hobby Lobby today.
They were blank journals about 5 x 7 size. Some had the spiral binding and some had a spiral type binding that was covered. ALL of them had Bible verses on them. The covers were absolutely yummy designs--some masculine, some feminine, some bright for teens. Anyway, they were only $1.99
I bought a bunch. I will use them as gifts little by little. For my ladies group, I stamp scripture and encouraging sayings on every 5th page or so before I give them away.
What a blessing to find this posting. It is an encouragement to me to learn my verses, not just read them. I also was inspired to do a mini book of bible verses for my friend - she received a full lung transplant one year ago Feb 27th and has had many other medical crisis over this past year and is currently in the hospital yet again fighting pneumonia. I pray this mini book will give her hope and a strength to keep fighting that only our God can give.
Here is the cover, and first two pages...I hope to actually complete this for her in the next week or so and then I will go back and do something for myself.

So pretty! I'm sure the book will bring comfort and peace to your friend!

Here is my card for March. I had wanted to memorize all 22 verse of Ps 34 for February but only did 8. So here is the continuation of Ps 34. Hopefully I can memorize at least 8 more this month. I did not know the first 8 verses were going to be so needed and they were so encouraging to me during the month.

Can you believe that Easter is in 2 weeks? It's my favorite holiday. Here is this months submission: Boast in the Cross.
I'm off to spend some time in the gallery catching up on your wonderful uploads to this project. Your participation blesses me and is a joy to the LORD. Thank you!!
WoW ~ I just spent some time in the gallery, playing catch up (I'm a little embarrassed to admit that). Ya'll have blessed me this morning! I can't wait to see the March uploads! Thank you for playing along....
I'm playing catch up but wanted to join in. This is my first month and I'll be back-tracking to catch up! My project is a 6" album for my Mom's birthday in November that I'll place these scriptures in and also include a photo page of her favorite subjects -- her granddaughters!
Once I get the album cover done, I'll share that, too. Thanks for this wonderful challenge, Lori! There are some awesome projects filling the gallery, ladies!
I'm a latecomer to this challenge, but I really like the idea so I am jumping on board. I'll catch up with Jan and Feb at a later time, but here's my March verse. I'll have these on a ringed photo frame from Ikea that will sit on my desk. BVC08 March - Karen Stamps! by Karen Stamps! at Splitcoaststampers
Here is my entry. Somehow it uploaded before I got to fill in the info. When I tried to edit it, it doesn't seem to have added the info. Sorry 'bout that. The stamp was House-Mouse, Basket of Friendship. Thought I'd try to tie in an Easter theme. Heb.13:16 by KrB at Splitcoaststampers

I just found this thread, and I am definitely IN! I'm going to my stamp room now to get started. Thank you for starting this. I have tears of joy in my eyes. What a wonderful thing to find sisters in Christ all around! Gods blessings to you all.
I just stumbled across this thread - what an awesome idea! I am always trying to get myself to memorize scripture (I need to trick myself into doing things that are good for me sometimes.) Stamping just might be the ticket! And I think I know what project I want to start... hmmmm...
Lori, I just found your challenge and I could not be more excited! I am going to make a small scrapbook for my mom and memorize beautiful scripture at the same time...how great is this!! :-) Thank you for starting this wonderful challenge!!
Hi ladies! Thank you, Jami, for the link to the thread/challenge! I would love to play along. I think I have some catching up to do! ;) I am deciding how I want to make mine, but in the meantime, does anyone have a fave link to verses that you like to use to copy & paste for printing?
Thanks!
Diane
Diane, Here's my favorite link - http://www.biblegateway.com/ It has keyword search, topical index, passage lookup all available by different versions of the Bible (King James, New International, etc.)

I'd be interested in such a link, too -- I just always type them out the old fashioned way!!!

LOL! Is that possible?? I got new glasses & started parting my bangs again.
I HATE to type....so if I can copy & paste, then I'm sure not to type it wrong. ;)
That link was helpful....the wording in my favorite verse is from the King James version and I would have to hunt to find it here. (I also hate to clean...LOL)
Well here it is a week late, but better late than never!! My March scripture submission was inspired by my Sunday School Class. One of our members is a middle school history teacher, and lately, it seems that our topic of conversation seems to frequently go to his experiences with his students. Our discussions many times revolve around our concern for children, and their lack of spiritual guidance within their homes. Many, many children in this day and age, grow up in homes where Sunday School and Church are just not a part of their lives. These kids have no idea where to turn for guidance in every day challenges that life hands them. How sad it is that so many youth don't know and experience the love of a "Church Family", and the strength and support that lies therein!! Our teachers are severely limited anymore as to what they can share with their students as far as spiritual guidance. I pray, especially during this upcoming Holy Week that we can all find a way to reach out and share the good news of Christ our Lord with those who are aching to hear and receive His word!!
Happy Easter to you and yours, and God's blessings to you today and always!

This really hits home with me since I am a teacher in an inner city school. Why it really hits home is that Thursday one of our second graders attempted suicide by hanging. The prognosis is unknown at this time due to oxygen deprivation. I spent part of yesterday in tears (not in front of my kids though) and the other reflecting on it and why I do what I do with all the heartbreak that I see. I teach first grade but know this student because last year I taught Kindergarten and he was tutored.

I'm replying to this message with goosebumps raised and tears in my eyes! I can hardly type!! I will pray for this child, his family, and you...his caring teacher. This is what we must all do!! Pray for these kids, and their families, pray that by our examples of being loving and caring teachers, caregivers, and friends, and by sharing the good news of Jesus with them we can offer them hope. Bless you for your loving heart and for making a difference in the lives of children. We can't help them all, but if we can help just one, then we have made a difference!!
What an awesome learning tool this will be - and, perhaps for Christmas, someone will receive the completed packet as I start another in 2009! God bless!

I am not sure if I can link or not...so we will see what happens here.
This is my March entry...I started a little late. The design is really simple and I relied on the beautiful DP. The verse however is really powerful. AMEN!
