Praying all is well with you and your families! For those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a great time with family and friends! I know we did and I am still having leftovers :-)
The December 2015 Key Word will be "Hope" with the optional technique of "anything goes".
There are many ways that we can interpret "Hope" in Scripture- some ideas include "Hope" of the Messiah, "Hope" of Christ's return, "Hope" in the Lord- we are so thankful for salvation and the "Hope" we have in Him!
Again, even though this challenge is assigned to December, there is no deadline and if you are like me (a perfectionist), it may be after Christmas before you are able to sit down and spend a few hours journaling. I am hoping to be able to start with the New Year for sure!
If you are able to create this month, I am so looking forward to seeing how you interpret this into your Bible Study/Bible Art Journaling and, again, "hope" (pun, intended :-)) you will share your work in the Bible Art Journal gallery!
Just a reminder:
We have our own gallery to load our journal pages-
Once you enter the "Upload A Card" click on the arrows next to the windows under "Select Galleries"- in the first window select "Anything BUT a Card", in the second window choose "Books, Handmade Albums and Journals" , in the third window choose "Art Journal Pages" and then a 4th window should appear and choose "Bible Art Journal Pages" .
Also, please use all three of these keywords when you post to the gallery- BAJ15, BAJ1512, Bible Art Journaling (remember to separate each with a comma) and if you have time, please come to this forum to link your journal page so we can give you some "love" ...
I hope all of you have a wonderful month celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus- hugs and God Bless!
I am so glad that you visited :-) I know that this is a very busy time for all of us and while I am studying God's Word daily, I have not had the time to journal....once Christmas is over, I am planning on dedicating more time for the journaling part of the study :-)
I watched a you tube of someone actually painting in the Bible. Maybe it was Periscope. Now I can't remember what paints they were. But it didn't show on the other side!
Hi Sharon!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends :-)
Yes, I am planning on starting the 2016 Bible Art Journaling thread this week...I need to record the themes so far so we do not duplicate and plan a bit ahead.
I ordered the Inspire Bible from Amazon that is due to ship in February. I know that it has artwork already preprinted on some of the pages but it also wider margins so I will not be covering Scripture with my artwork as well. I decided to use the Daily Bible that I had been journaling in for my daily devotions this year so I do not want to continue to paint over the Scripture with acrylic paint (some of my art did cover the Scripture so you can no longer read it but I noted the verses so I can refer to them in another Bible).
In the video, did they mention prepping the pages with a clear gesso? That will help to keep the paint from bleeding through the pages...I prefer Tri-Art Clear Gesso since it dries with a smoother finish than Liquidex (there is another clear brand by Finnabar that dries smooth as well but it was always sold out when I tried to order- I bought the Tri-Art brand from Amazon with our SCS link on the homepage ) :-)
Here's to our New Year- may you have a blessed year and may we all grow closer to the Lord! Hugs and God Bless!
