Thank you for your reply Nancy! I love your card and bible art!!! Funny thing is I saw the challenge over at Global Design Project this morning and just finished a beach theme card....so, now I'm going with that to make it into bible journaling theme. It's a great idea to do both at the same time if you can, love that idea!!! Thank you, thank you. I'll admit to being down lately when I see what's going on in America. My heart is breaking, but I remember that Jesus came to overcome the world. So, trying to give my worries to Him and remember who I am in Christ. An overcomer!!!! I'm so thankful to have remembered this group. I really needed to be creative instead of depressed. I can't wait to do a bible journaling page now. I will share it here as soon as I finish it! Thank you and God Bless you all
Holley, so glad that you found us and thank you, Nancy for responding. For some reason, I did not see the notification that there was a post until now and I definitely did not see Helen's post!
Helen, praying that you are feeling better with each passing day from your surgery! I agree with Nancy- what a wonderful digital BAJ page...I never even thought to go digital!! I may have to try that :-)
Jeanette, thanks for inviting Holley- you are such an encouragement to us all!
Holley. looking forward to seeing your BAJ when you are ready. If you could link in this thread, it will help us to know that you have posted to the gallery.
Hugs to all of you - praying that you are staying as safe as possible!! May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you.
Hello Fellow Bible Journalers! It's good to see so much chatter. I'd not checked in for a while, seemed I was here talking to myself and now I see I'm not. YAY!
Helen, your page is beautiful!
Holley, welcome! I'm glad you've arrived!
Nancy, thanks for answering Holley's questions! Your gallery post is great - I'm dabbling (very poorly) in watercolors, too... such a learning curve. I still feel much more comfortable with my Copics.
Julie, I hope all is well and you're just busy. We'll look forward to you popping in soon.
Holley, I love, love, love your card and BAJ page. Julie, what is our theme for July? If you haven't decided yet am thinking Staying Positive in Times of Trouble (Paul was a great example of that) or Overcoming. Hugz to you all!

Nancy- love your idea! So sorry, July has just slipped away too quickly, lol!
July's theme will be Staying Positive, Do Not Fear or Overcoming....
As Nancy mentioned, Paul was a great example as well as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
" I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV
Hugs and I hope all of you have a healthy and safe July!!
Thank you Jeanette!
Does this theme last all month? So, if I do some more bible Journaling Art pages, I just keep using the same theme all month long? I just started an online Women's Bible study through Facebook and so I'm on a roll now, lol!!! ;)
Hi Holley! Yes, we only do a monthly theme right now but since you already created a beautiful page with that theme, it is up to you if you want to create another :-) You are also welcome to share with us other pages with different themes.
Have a great time with your Bible Study! I am currently in two different studies and love them both- hugs!
Ok, thanks. I was just making sure that I was understanding correctly. Two bibles studies!!!!! That's great, good for you ;)
I just started this one today. It's really neat. It's reading the Bible from cover to cover in one year. They are doing zoom meetings as well and they break out sessions in small groups to help keep you motivated. It's all interactive through Facebook. The lady who started it asks everyone to donate $20 to a sex trafficking rescue organization....but it's not required. Just something to help keep you motivated and it's for a good cause.
Also, you can buy a journal and a bible that she suggests but again, not required. I didn't think that I needed another bible since we have a library of them, all different versions, etc. But after doing research on the one she suggested, I had to have it.
It's called The Scriptures, it's a literal translation of Hebrew. I have always wanted to study Hebrew but haven't ever done it, lol. Next best thing, lol
My new bible comes on Thursday and I can't wait!!!! If anyone is interested let me know. Hugs <3
Sounds great Holley! Let us know how the study goes- what Facebook group is it?
Jeanette- Dave and I are doing as well as possible. We still have to stay away from all groups so we have not been able to attend church. Thankfully, our church has online services :-) The Zoom/Google Meet Bible Studies have helped me keep in touch and again, so thankful for the technology :-) Dave has a few doctor follow-up appt from his bladder cancer surgery a year ago but so far, things look good.
Hugs and love to all of you and so thankful that we know the One who holds the future!!
Julie, I am glad you and Dave are taking precautions - with his health situation that is so important. I'm glad you have ways to connect without doing so in person.
Our son and I are doing so as well... DH, not so much. Brock (autistic son) and I have not been in a building other than our home (and a few times in the office, where we are the only ones) since early March. In fact, I literally have only been out of my home 4 times since March 10th, but who's counting, right? Our churches have started opening again - about 2 weeks ago. DH has been going, but Brock and I still worship via FB Live with one of our churches rather than going. Since he was so very sick with pneumonia a few years ago (he nearly died) I am extra cautious with Brock's health.
Soooo.... Holley... are you excited? I'm just teasing. I love seeing your enthusiasm!!! Thanks for the links. It's fun to see what you're involved in and to learn more about your new Bible.
Janette,
Yes, I am excited, lol.....guess you can tell ;)
I too have an adult son on the spectrum. He's high functioning Aspergers, so I can understand a little bit. Change is so hard on them. Praying for you!
I'm not sure if this belongs here. It's about my son who is autistic and has cerebral palsy. He is not a happy person in general.
Bugaboo's Christmas in July challenges gave me the kick in the butt I needed to finally start using my art journal.
I'm nervous about sharing this and don't know how many I will post in the future. I didn't have room to write out Philippians 11-13. I might do that on a separate page and decorate it. I would post that for sure.
Jen, I appreciated seeing your journal entry - a small look into your life. I speaks volumes about your mama's heart and your love for your son. Thank you for sharing it with us!
I, too, am a parent of an autistic son. Our Brock is such a joy (and fortunately IS a happy fellow who enjoys the simplicities of life), but I know first-hand some of what you speak of. When he was diagnosed (he was nearly 6 years old) I greatly grieved my lost dreams for him, knowing he'd never achieve some of the things I considered fairly common for most people. It was hard to let go of what I'd hoped for him - so very hard!
I say all of that (not very well, I fear) in hopes that it encourages you to know you're not alone, Jen, but most of all to add this, you can be assured that this mama will be praying for you regularly, because I know just a little bit of what your journey is like.
This has been a rough week. Unthinkable tragedy struck and affected someone I know personally. Life changed in a heartbeat. My heart broke for this family. After tearful days and nights of sleeplessness, I decided to create this Bible Journaling entry...
Thanks Jen and Jeanette for sharing a bit of your life with all of us! Also, will be praying for both of you as well as for Katherine and her young family. May we all be able to have the heart to give our lives for others.
The August Theme will be Love or anything from the Book of John.
One of the first verses we learned as new Christians (years ago) was John 3:16 :-)
Love, hugs and prayers for all of you- may you have a blessed August!
Hi Julie... thank you for your kind words and for your prayers for Katherine. She's gone back home with her four kiddos. I can't imagine how empty that house feels. Please keep praying for her.
I love the passage - John 21:15-17 - where Jesus asked Peter three different times, "Do you love me?" Peter affirmed that he did love Jesus, to which Jesus replied "Feed my sheep" so that's what I journaled for this month's Gospel of John (Love) theme.
So much we all have to deal with in life - the mountains are real!
I have to admit that I messed up a page in my journaling bible getting a bit too creative and then I felt so bad that I didn't do any BAJ for a month. Today I decided that I can forgive myself and started back. Here is my page:

Hi Sweet Sisters! Love seeing all of your BAJ pages and cards :-)
Sorry to be a bit late with the September theme- Dave and I are still tackling our remodeling projects :-) As we are getting older, it takes longer to accomplish the same tasks as it did 20 years ago...
The September theme will be Fruit, Harvest or anything from the Book of Luke.
"And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Luke 10:2 (ESV)
Praying all of you are staying safe and well during this pandemic. Our state is finally opening up a bit more but we are still socially isolating due to medical conditions. Looking forward to the day when we can return to worship services and shake hands/hug again!
I have to tell you a little story. When I started BAJ, I was a word snob. I told myself I would never go into the words with my drawing, painting, techniques and I would never cover up a single word of the Bible. After a while, I started lightly coloring into the words as long as you could still read them. I got comfortable with that. I got quite adventurous with my MIX BAJ. Then one day, I put a rice paper design on my bible and it accidently covered a word. When I tried to fix it, my page tore and the words disappeared completely. I stopped doing BAJ for a while as I realized it was becoming more about MIX experimenting than the words. I had to re-center and do some soul searching. This last week I joining a Zoom BAJ group. The facilitator/leader talked a long time about mistakes and things we say we won't do and how we need to just keep our focus in BAJ - spending time with God in His word. If we let rules, techniques, fears, or mistakes guide us, we won't be doing it correctly or at all. Sharing this in case you ever hit that spot too.
I just posted a Harvest colored page focusing on Psalms 128 HERE.
Hugz

Praying for your continued healing Helen! So thankful that you are able to create digitally and that you shared it with all of us :-)
Dave and I have been busy at our weekend home. I have been pulling off wallpaper (well scraping each little piece since they did not prep the walls correctly) and trying to get the home ready for painting. We know that this will be a long process and will be most likely several years to finish...Lord Willing....
In the meantime, I am spending time in God's Word with studies and again, since I am such a perfectionist, trying to find the location in my crowded home where I can do BAJ properly. I am praying that I can let go of this perfectionist attitude and just do it, lol!!
I enjoy watching YouTube videos for BAJ and discovered that there is a free BAJ video conference called Hope in the Lord coming up 10/14-10/16 with over 20 speakers. I went ahead and paid for the All Access Pass (since I may not be able to watch each session within 24 hrs for the free pass). The conference is hosted by Bible Journaling Ministries and they are giving a bible to the Bibles For the World to donate for each All Access Pass plus there are quite a few other giveaways.
Just in case you are interested, here is the link for sign up
Good Evening Fellow Bible Journalers! I hope you've had a good Lord's Day.
I am so excited - I just found out a few minutes ago that there is a small group on FB that will be doing the Shanna Noel 100 Days of Bible Promises devotional journal beginning tomorrow. I already own the book - and have it spiral bound, so I'm going to jump in. Please pray that I can keep up!
As you know, I've done 3 others of the 100 Days devotional journals (each with a FB group) and love Love LOVE doing them, but I've always before known well in advance that I was going to be doing them. This time since I've had no warning, I fear I've not secured the needed time to invest in this.
Julie, please don't take it personally, but I most likely will not be able to do your monthly themes during the time I'm doing the daily entries of Bible Promises... but I will share with you ladies each day's work.
