Those are both cute, I love Beccy's site she has a lot a really nice ones, I also got some of nurses from Buggaboo, going to use for a set of note cards for my daughter Joan (LOTRhobbit)
Ok, another newbie questions for some of you pros out there. I have just downloaded my first digi stamps and when I printed the image out it seems to have "feathered" a bit in the printing. Am I using the wrong card stock or using the wrong type of ink? Even when I printed on regular printer paper, it seem to have some feathering. The images are from Pure Innocence purchased off Etsy.
Sunrize - what do you mean by "feathered?" As in the lines aren't as sharp as they should be or there is some type of bleeding of the toner ink?
If you print say something with just words on it, is there feathering?
Does your printer have both black and color cartridges? Is it laser or ink jet?
I'm thinking you are not printing in Black & White only. I find that sometimes using my color cartridge to print black & white doesn't work for me.
It is an HP All-in-one Ink jet printer with both color and black cartridges. It is the kind that will also print pictures. The image is not as sharp as it should be and the lines seem to be a little blurred. I have never really noticed the same thing when I print just text. I will try to change the settings to Black and White only and see if that makes a difference.
Did you print the digistamp from Word? If you enlarge some digis too much, they do lose sharpness - but you will notice it on the computer screen as well.
Have you tried a different digistamp and have the same problem? There are LOTS of free digis to try out there - just to test your printer/computer.
Trish - do you just love your bow maker? I was wondering if it was worth it, saw your card and your bow is just perfect!
YES!!! I love the Bow Easy. Very worth it. Before the Bow Easy, I never made bows. Hardly ever used ribbon at all. You should see my ribbon collection now. lol
After a friend showed me how to use it. I practiced ALOT until I was very comfortable. It is not hard, just need to use it some to get the bows to look how you want.
Wow, a whole new world has opened up! I love using computers to design digi scrapbooking pages, websites, etc. and now there are digi stamps?! I have been spending a lot of time on Paint.net and Photoshop to be able to use those programs to design, etc. do you use one of those programs to color in the digi stamps or do you color all of them by hand? I noticed a lot of gals have mentioned using Copic markers, and the designs turn out very nice looking, but the markers are pretty expensive. What other ways do you all use to color in the stamps once printed off?
I colore them by hand (love coloring and don't have a color printer) - I only have a couple of Copics so I usually combine them with Prismacolor pencils. Sometimes I print the digi images on watercolor paper (you have to change the printer setting to thick paper to get good printout on it), heat set it and color it with SU markers/inks and waterbrush.

Here are a couple of new cards made with digi's (although I did use a rubber background stamp on the squirrel one). Actually - I like combining the digis with my "regular" stuff. It makes me feel like I'm using it all!
This summer was brutally hot and we don't have AC. I'm so ready for fall. I think it shows in the cards.
Forgot to mention - I usually color with Copics (love them). But I have gotten really good results with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. Personally, I have not had any smearing issues with the pencils. The pencils are much cheaper.

Beautiful job coloring!! I'll have to try the watercolor paper with heat setting. I sometimes miss watercoloring.
I'm dipping my toe into the digi world! I just posted this in the gallery. She's a new digi company for me... A Day for Daisies on Etsy. Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff!
I've been working on my colored pencil skills... this is the best I've managed yet!

I tried coloring some digital images, but my computer ink ran and spoiled the colors. I let it dry overnight, and it is Canon ink. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Sometimes I have the same problem.... When I colored Wind in my Hair (with pencils & OMS) there wasn't any problem. Today, I started coloring another image - same paper & ink - and it smeared like crazy! I've heard that if you heat set it (heat gun or an iron) it will keep that from happening. Here's hoping!

I use laser printer and the toner is fine for copics and Prisma pencils, but I have to heat set the image when I want to watercolor. So for your ink I would suggest heat setting too! Let us know if it helped..

I have an ink jet and it has both a black only and color toner cartridge. When I print in black, I have no problems. If my black is out and I print black using the color toner cart only, I have problems.
I'm just loving her images. I posted another card here using Skirt of Flowers. Unfortunately, the pic doesn't really do it justice. Between the shimmery off white paper and the white smooch - well, the camera was *not* happy! ;)

I have a couple of new ones that I uploaded today. First was this one - perfect image from Just Some Lines for me to work on how to color hair. This one was a gorgeous image from Crafts and Me in the UK. They have some really fantastic stuff there!
