Introducing our new Digi-Challenge Hostess! - July 2010
Hello Digi-Scrappers!!
Recently, I received an email from a fellow Splitcoaster who was interested in hosting the Digital Scrapbooking Challenges that I had to put on hold last November.
This lovely gal is named Laura (MaggieMayLove), and I’m pleased to announce that Laura will be coming on board as our new Digital Scrapping Hostess! I think we’re very lucky to have such a talented lady join us.
For now, Laura will post a digital challenge every other week. Please check the digi-challenge forum Tuesday morning (July 13) for Laura’s first challenge (DGC53).
I asked Laura to tell us a little about herself:
My name is Laura (MaggieMayLove) and I have been a member of Splitcoast since August of 04. I love creating handmade cards and scrapbook pages. I love mini books, too, and all kinds of 3D projects, I admit, I love them all!
I am like so many of you, too many hobbies and not enough time. Horses and yoga and gardening and crocheting and especially photography! More time!
My husband and I share our home with 2 dogs, 3 cats and our yard with 3 horses! Whew, that's our family and they constantly fuel me with photos for scrapping!
I began digi scrapping about 6 years ago, it's fun and challenging and I really like the creative opportunities you have as a scrapper. I love to write tutorials on digi scrapping, keeps me learning! When this opportunity came up to work with digital scrappers at SplitCoast, I was thrilled and thanks to Wendella247 for her help and support, we're going to get digi scrapping rocking here at SCS.

Hi to everyone and thank you all for this wonderful welcome to the digi scrapping thread. I am very much looking forward to working with Wendy to create challenges and teach digi techniques to everyone. Please feel free to contact me ANY time if you have questions and ideas (I love more ideas!).
We're going to have a great time. If you are new to digi scrapping or just want to try it for the first time, welcome, welcome, welcome. You are going to just love the creative choices you have with digital scrapping. Just one more addiction for all of us paper scrappers and card makers!!!:grin:
I am so anxious to get to know all of you! We learn so much about each other through our scrapping pages as we share our lives and form friendships - what could possibly be better?
Tomorrow morning (Tuesday 13th), I'll be posting the first challenge and learning technique! I can't wait!!
Hi gals! I am looking forward to the challenges. I probably won't, well, I should say I know I won't be able to participate till this fall sometime. Right now we have our house for sale and things are more than a little hectic!
I know you'll play when you can, Marcia -- you're one of the "originals" to the digi challenges!!
Good luck on selling your house. I'm sure it's a hectic time for you!!!

Welcome all. I'm looking forward to new Digi Challenges too and it's so wonderful that you are able to be our hostess Laura. I started digital scrapping last July after getting the Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 software as a Christmas present and after taking a free lesson through JessicaSprague.com and I haven't looked back since. It's such a great way to scrap (no mess, no mess, no mess!) Can you tell why I don't care for traditional scrapping? lol! I still need this site for ideas and inspiration though to get things moving so I'm always up for learning new things! I check out a couple other digi sites but get intimidated by those ladies since that is all they post and their pages are awesome ALL the time! Thank you SO much for committing your time and expertise for us! See you tomorrow!

That's such a nice welcome. We are going to have lots of fun learning and sharing new ideas, inspiration and techniques. I know what you mean about being intimidated by other sites. I remember when I was first learning how hard it was. We're going to do all we can to help everyone create their scrapbook pages and learn fun techniques. I hope everyone will give it a try, dont' be shy! We're here to learn and have fun and what better place can there be?
OMG Laura, I am so excited that one of my very 1st SCS friends from 2004 is hosting the Digi Challenges. Laura, you will wonderful as the hostess. I have finally done 2 digi scrapbooks in the last several months and will be starting a 3rd soon. I am off to see your 1st challenge. Congratulations......you go girlfriend :p
And Nancy, I am so excited to see you have dipped into the digi scrapping world and I CAN"T WAIT to see your layouts! I hope you have some time to play with all your other activities. Wow, 6 years we've known each other! Wow!
