February Progressive Challenge 21 - Task1 (02-04-14)
Hi everyone! I just totally lost track of time and missed posting Task 1 on Tuesday, so here it is: We’ll use 2-3 photos in a later step, so you may pick them now and set them aside.
1.Add three layers of paper as follows:
Layer 1: 12” x 12” plain or patterned base paper.
Layer 2: Approx. 10.5” x 10.5” plain or patterned paper (showing about a 3/4” of Layer 1 all around).
Layer 3: Within right side of Layer 2, add a plain or lightly patterned paper (approx. 8” w. x 9.5” h.).
2.Add some type of stitching or thin border around the inside edge of Layer 2.
3.Add a 1.5”- 2” wide vertical border strip on the right edge of Layer 3.
That’s it for this week!

Wendy, your instructions are always clear & we finish with fantastic finished pages! I enjoy these so much because they add elements to my page that I wouldn't think of doing. I think this looks like a very interesting challenge already. I'm hoping to work on mine tonight after I clean up a space to work. I seem to be able to get things out but not put them away! I good news is I'm probably not alone!
You're definitely not alone, Lou Ann! I've been doing some card making lately and I am MUCH better at making messes than cleaning them up!
Thanks for your kind words. I enjoy the progressive challenges too--even when I'm the host, but it's always fun when Diane, Terri or "Santa" hosts them--total surprise for me too that way! And either way, it's always fun to see how everyone uses their own style to complete them. Even more fun when gals like you and Sharon (sewflake) do a paper page!
Thanks so much for hosting Wendy. Please put me on your list if you need someone to host one month. I'ld be excited to do it!
Here is my task 1 .

All you girls (apologizes to Diane, Terri & "Santa", didn't mean to leave you out! ) are so creative...I don't know how all of you come up with so many different ideas! I can really see how much my scrapping has improved since I joined 18 months ago! A big thanks for loving your craft & sharing your talents!
here is my start . I have been cleaning and organizing my real live craft room, so my digital craft room go put on hold this weekend. tonight I was just too tired and cold to go downstairs and work again. probably should have just gone to bed, but I wanted to create something and not clean something!

totally the wrong thread for this, but I am too excited and have to share with you guys. I made this for a friend's 50th birthday. it was more fun than one person should be able to have with a few pieces of paper. plus I had nuggets left over to treat myself with!

A great group of challenges Wendy! I was really inspired by all the flowers in your page and found some to use too. I don't know if the colors will go with the photos I've got in mind to use, but that's the beauty with digital. I just might go with black and white photos. Hee! Hee!

I was really intrigued with this months layout challenge from the very beginning, but I am not one for stopping and starting a page or layout. But it just got better the longer it went along. So here is the start of my layout for this month...
