HelloColorChallengeFans! Welcome to this week's challenge. It's #700for us, and we have some fun planned for you all.
Before I introduce our colors for this week, let's congratulate Linda aka Holstein as the fave from last week. Karen was the hostess and she chose Linda's fun card. Karen said:"This card by "Holstein" is just exquisite. I knew it had to be my favorite - the texture, the colors, the framing....it's all that!! I chose it the first second I saw it!"
Congrats Linda! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below. Your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Color Challenge board. Check it out here
Now onto this week's challenge. I asked the team to pick a favorite challenge that they hosted between #601 and #699. So we are giving you 5 different color combinations this week. Pick your favorite from the chart below and create a new card.
We are also offering some prizes this week to celebrate #700. Each hostess has come up with a little prize package that will be awarded to her favorite card. And, we also have a grand prize to offer that was so graciously donated by My Sweet Petunia. It's a mini-MISTI.
To be eligible for a prize, we do have some rules for this challenge: 1. Your card has to be a new one. 2. You can use your neutrals of choice but you can't add other colors to the combos listed below. 3. On your keywords use CC800+ the other challenge # of the combo you choose. That way the hostess will know you played in her challenge. 4. To be eligible for the grand prize, you will have to create a card for each of the color combos and include the dessert option. So that will be 5 cards in total.
This week's color chart
Here are the links to the original challenges: These are the ones we are using this week. Dessert Option is the same as the original challenge. CC617 CC647 CC654 CC668 CC690
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have but don't add other colors except neutrals. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC700 + the other challenge # in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card!
Oh what fun! I'm on this! Thanks ladies for providing all of these wonderful challenges for us. You are all amazing.

Here's my card for Barb's challenge (CC647) with dessert (flowers)- I used this crafty gal image, adding lots of punch with a zigzag light green background and chevron styled ribbon, machine sewn on my bottom border. Added a hand sewn yellow patterned bow, and my dry embossed flowers in the upper corners- looks like me on a good day Here's CC647 Scrappy Chick

As it's rather warm and smoky here- I long for a dip in the water- so I created this card, featuring Riley the Moose, using Mary's color challenge hues-CC668. I did a direct to paper technique, using soft pink and pale plum to get my mauve shade, with a chocolate brown panel behind that. My new shape is a convex square - featured as bookends for my sentiment block. Used some mint green washi tape over my squares for a vinyl/swimming ring material look. Here's Jump In

Had fun making a card for Karen's CC617 challenge, using dotted paper for my die cut hearts all in a row. Added flowers to represent Spring (dessert)- and a triple matted treatment. Finished with a green dotted ribbon tie. Here's CC617 A Beautiful Day

Pam- these colors along with the dessert option (beach) inspired my card, featuring a lobster, along with a torn paper strip to represent the beach's edge. Put a beach ball there to play with, along with a nautically inspired striped ribbon partial border.Colored my image with markers, and my background is done in watercolor powders with dry embossing for texture. Here's Lobster's Beach Ball

For Stef's challenge for my fifth card- I went with a leaf-themed card- with a woven dry embossed background. Used an oval panel for my sentiment, and employed bronze paper for the dessert option. Here's Leafy Thanks

One of this week’s color challenge at Splitcoaststampers included a deep pink, pale yellow, and pale green. I had previously cut some of the images from Altenew’s Beautiful Day and had them sitting in a draw ready to be used. I decided to pull them out for this challenge. I think the combination turned out pretty. The inks dried back lighter and so it isn't quite as deep at the color challenge sample, but I still think it works. Happy 700th Color Challenge! Wow! I've only been with you since CC570, and I've been loving every challenge in between. Thanks to all the hostesses for such fun!
I chose CC654, and combined this challenge with a couple of other challenges this week.
