It is Pam hosting this weeks color challenge. In South Carolina the summers are very steamy and hot. So that is always a good excuse for a delicious cool treat! So that was my inspiration for the colors I selected!
Let's start with the fave from last week. Barbara was our hostess, and she chose Remembering Betsy by Serenity_Stampere aka Lela. Barbara said, "I love everything about this card, from the beautiful double-layer dragonfly with it's bit of sparkle, to the collage background, to the handmade patterned paper. I was especially touched by Lela's memories of her friend, Betsy. This is a lovely and comforting sympathy card."
Congratulations, Lela! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card will also be pinned on our Pinterest Challegne board. Check it out HERE.
And now, back to this week's Challenge. This week's colors are:
Pineapple Calypso Coral Pear Pizzazz
The dessertoption this week is summer treats, ice-cream, popsicles, tropical drinks!
For some awesome inspiration check out our Color Team this week:
Please keep in mind that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to play along!!
Please put CC696 in your keyword section (and if you have more then one challenge, use a soma to separate them) so we can find your card.
Pam,
These were fun colors to use. Here's my card.

I was traveling this week and only now have time to savor the honor of having my Betsy card chosen as Barbara’s favorite. Amazing things happen when we act from our heart. I hope you all have a beautiful week. Thank you again for the kindness, Lela
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings.
Make a card using colors similar to these challenge colors: Pineapple Punch, Calypso Coral, and Pear Pizzazz. I've used similar colors asked for in the challenge: a pineapple yellow in my lemons and the simulated alcohol-ink background dsp, Pear Pizzazz and darker greens in my leaves, and a dark coral (closer to Poppy Parade) in the background dsp and layering. I've added black and white neutrals to finish.
