CC694 A Bushel of Red, White and Blueberry! (7/3/18)
WELCOMECOLORLOVERS! It's Stef here and I'm so happy to be hosting this week! Before we get started with the new challenge, let's celebrate the favorite from last week.
Jeanne hosted last week and she chose Summer Day by Robin aka Stamperrobin! This is what she said about her card:
"Robin's card is so summery - it makes me want to hit the beach!"
Congratulations, Robin!! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Challenge board. Check it out here.
Since it's a new month, we also have new guest designers. Joining us for the month of July and bringing some wonderful paper artist skills are Joanne aka sleepyinseattle and Kathy aka CarolinaKathy. Joanne was our fave from CC645 and Kathy was our fave from CC686.
Now let's get on to this week's challenge!
A BUSHEL OF RED, WHITE AND BLUEBERRY!
Real Red Whisper White or Very Vanilla Blueberry Bushel
The dessert option is to use an Americana or 4th of July theme.
Here's some inspiration from the Color Challenge Design Team:
Starting with this challenge, we are excited to begin using the new Stampin' Up! colors. Please keep in mind, that while SU colors are listed for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!
Please put CC694 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card.

Thanks for the great colors!!! I haven't made many patriotic cards over the years because I just didn't have a stamp set but this year I am having a blast! Haha! (I have fireworks on my card)

Dedicated to my DS starting an internship in California- it's in the 70s with lots of trees and blue skies- depicted with my watercolor powder background. Added a bike with a woven basket, and a silver headed dragonfly. Here's Summer ride

For this week's color challenge for my second card, I created a quilted background using diagonal paper strips in red, white and blues- adding balloons propped up with dimensionals, as are the quartet of critters. Finished with a diagonal red background, and a double ribbon bow. Here's We Must Celebrate

Stef- had to revisit your color challenge as it so suits the Fourth of July today- combined it with the sketch challenge with some minor tweaks. I used dry embossed strips and a burlap star for texture. Here's flowers, star and stripes

I am so excited! It is not often that a card that I absolutely need to create works with the Color Challenge, but this week it does, and I'm stoked! I do not have the new Blueberry Bushel cardstock, so I substituted Midnight Muse (retired). I also served up an Americana dessert. Here is my card: Sister-in-Law #2 Has a "Freedom" Birthday!
