HelloColorChallengeFans! It's Tuesday and time for another color challenge. #650 on the charts for us.
Let's start with the fave from last week. Maura was our hostess and she chose Celebrate in Circles by Gail aka mamaxix.
Maura said:"love the clean and fresh look of Gail's card! I liked the way the technique that she used made it look as if the circles and the background card stock were one piece! And because of the graphic design, this card could work for a guy or a gal - BONUS"!!!
Congrats Gail! The code to add the favorite badge to your Blog is located at the bottom of the post. We will also feature your card on our Color Challenge Pinterest board. See that here.
Now for some Color Challenge team news. Maura has decided after being a hostess for two (2) years to step down from the team. A full time job and other responsibilities are limiting her time. We wish you all the best Maura and hope that we will see your beautiful work from time to time.
With departures also come arrivals and we have two (2) new team members to announce tonight. Joining us as hostesses are Stef aka dahlia19 and also Robin aka RobinLee. Both are talented stampers and will bring plenty of beautiful eye candy to the gallery.
Now onto this week's challenge. We are in the last week of our August in-color theme. Tonight we are featuring tranquil tide. It's a color challenge with a twist.
Are you ready for some soft cake with a tranquil twist?
It's a twist because I am giving you 2 color combos this week. You have your choice. Or you can make 2 cards and try both color palettes.
tranquil tide
tangelo twist
soft sky
very vanilla
Dessert Option:die cut or punch
tranquil tide
crumb cake
soft suede
very vanilla
Dessert Option: Ribbon or Twine
Please keep in mind, that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC650 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card!
Wasn't sure about these colors, but I like how they go together! This is one of my favorite verses and it's for a teacher friend who is having a difficult start to her school year. Here's my card.

Great colors, thanks! I used all the colors for fun, adding a fabric strip and striped ribbon for embellishments, along with a mini clothespin. Here's Imagine

So fun to have to color combos to choose from. I went with the first one. I actually colored three butterflies in the same color so I may do another card for this challenge as well! So Sorry
I made a card with #2 combination. Initially I thought I won't be able to make a card but finally came up with something and I am happy! I wasn't sure which color is closest to tranquil tide and chose Peacock Feathers distress ink in it's place. Here is my Card - You are so precious!
