Hello colorchallengechampions. It's Tuesday and we have a brand new color challenge lined up for you. #494 on the charts for us! It's also a new month and we have 2 new guest designers for September.
Carmen aka Salome000 - she was the weekly fave from CC486 Pat aka pvilbaum - she was the weekly fave from CC491
Barbara aka bejoyce is staying on through December as our guest hostess.
Please give these talented stampers a special welcome on their card samples.
First, we have our color challenge favorite from last week. Becky, as hostess was to pick her favorite. She selected Julie Warner's
aka justwritedesigns) "autumnflowers" card
Becky said:""Julie has done a brilliant job of sponging these vivid color to make a backdrop for the leaf image. A stunning card!"
Congrats Julie. The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below and your card will also be pinned on our Pinterest color challenge board. Check it out here.
Now onto this week's challenge. It's about a wild gray melon. This comforter set caught my eye on Pinterest one day and I thought it would make for a great color challenge.
The colors translate to:
melon mambo basic gray wild wasabi
Dessert: you have 2 choices this week
1.Summer's last hurrah -add flowers or a summer scene to your project or 2.Winter's first debut-use these non-traditional colors to make a Christmas card or a winter scene
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC494 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here
I would have enjoyed this Challenge better if I hadn't discovered, mid-creation, that my Basic Gray ink pad is completely dry, and I don't have a reinker! SU Basic Gray marker and Copics to the rescue!

Great color combo! I had fun with the dessert option with my bright topiary- did some distressing to my sentiment, and sponged my background edges. Here's Love & Joy
