HERE is my card for today's color challenge...kraft, black, red. I had just received this stamp yesterday and was itching to use it. I stamped the image with Brick Red Distress Ink and then ran it thru the CB with the classic rectangle Nesties. I then stamped the sentiment and ran it thru the CB with the scallop circle Nesties. I added ribbon, black pearls and popped the sentiment up with foam dimensionals. I love the results! I thought I was finished with my Christmas cards, but I think I may have to make some more of these. I am loving this stamp!!!
What do you think?
tfl & I greatly appreciate your comments!
I am VERY new to this whole stamping scene, and to SCS. I don't have many supplies - mostly scrapbooking stuff. I do have a Stampin' Up catalog - 2007-2008, and I see the colors you mention often in there. I don't own any of their papers. Is it ok to substitute similar colors to participate? They look like fun.
Thanks a bunch,
Linda alias: Backroads Girl
Yes you can sustitute colors that are similar! Careful though, this is addicting!! Have fun and hope to see you in the galleris

I decided to participate late (like when I should be cutting paper for tomorrow's stamp a stack!). Here's my entry. Love these colors together, Emily, thanks!
I've always had a difficult time using Kraft. It usually looks really drab and blah to me. I know that's not the prevailing opinion around these parts, so please don't shoot me! LOL
I think I'm finally getting the hang of it, though. This is the second card I've made with it that I've liked. (The first is also in my gallery, but it doesn't quite fit this color challenge.)
Oh my goodness...made this card with all 3 colours this week and didn't even know this was the colour challenge. The kraft colour is not SU! I wrote ivory on the description but it is actually more brownish like a natural kraft paper. Thanks for looking!
These colours are great, I didn't have the exact colours (not being a SU girl) but got close enough. I have combined this with the Techniques challenge. Thanks Emily for this great colour combo!!!
