Here is my card for this week's challenge - crazy that we had picked the same color combo! But I'm excited b/c I think this might be the first CC I was able to participate in during the week it was originally posted!!

Finally, here is my take on the color combo. I was in a Christmas mood! and oops, guess I didnt' read the challenge I thought it was basic grey, instead it was basic black. oh, well....
TFL! Pink Christmas tree
Thanks Emily! Great theme. You are right. We ALL know someone who's been affected with this horrible disease. My first one was 5 years ago when my office manager (who is EXACTLY) my same age within 12 hours,
developed this disease. She fought valiantly for 2 years and finally passed away. This one really hit home to me. Another one we all need to watch for is ovarian cancer. There is NO real test for this. It's the silent killer they say. Many many people have the misconception that PAP exams would catch ovarian cancer. They don't.
My mom died about 5 years ago as well from Ovarian AND Breast Cancer.
Thank you for the reminder. To remember others and to take care of ourselves.
This is a great color challenge. Thank you. Yes, it's sad but true. We do all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Both my mother and my grandmother have had it. I'm only 22, and my doctor says I have to start getting mammograms next year. SCARY!
here's my sample - will give it to a friend who is not yet been given the all clear from boh breast and overian cancer... will have to find something to put in it. :-) TLC189, CC188 - pink box by Kiwime at Splitcoaststampers
