Yep, you read that right! This week, y'all are going to make yo yo yellow look GOOD! Seriously! This combo was suggested by jacqueline and I have to admit, I was quite skeptical when I read it. But her card was lovely and I think she made it work! So here ya go! GOOD LUCK!
Please put CC151in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
As always, I am open to suggestions for future color challenges! Please pm me if you have one. DO NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL!! If you do not include a sample, it is harder for me to use it! I will probably not respond, as I get several, but I save them for future reference!
And now I have to go take my dogs for a walk because I promised that I would when I started working on this card. The advantage of living in Japan...the challenges usually get posted mid-afternoon here ;)
Well, here's my card. Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card. I figured the contrast of the bright Yo-Yo Yellow with the Going Grey may be just the ticket. Unfortunately, we don't have Basic Grey available here yet, so I substituted Brocade Blue and used that for the base - hope that's OK???
OK, hopefully I can post this (been having some troubles!!!).
I had to sub in some Brocade Blue for the Basic Grey - we simply don't have that here in Australia yet. Unfortunately I needed a Sympathy card for a dear family friend who lost her mother in law to cancer last week. This colour combo seemed to have the right balance for just such a card. So, here's mine:
This is called yo yo on the go go, because I haven't gotten dressed for work yet, I have a 45 minute commute, but hey, I know how to set my priorities for the day, right?? Here' s my card: yo yo on the go go! by lazylizard at Splitcoaststampers

This will be a challenge to make this one look good! In fact, I just let me DS use most of my yo-yo, along with taken with teal and glorious green(all colors i really can't use very well) for this Social Studies Project. Those three colors actually match the flag from the islands of St. Vincent and the Grenandines, so he is making his poster pop with those three colors to his heart's content!. I will try to see if i can make a card today with the color combo, may have to sub for one of the grays, though.
I am sitting this one out as well. No Yo-Yo. No greys. :( So I am going to chill in the gallery today and "ooh" and "ah" and what you guys come up with.

I would have loved to have tried this challenge (my first one !!) but unfortunately here in the UK we do not have "Going Gray" in our catalogue. I love your samples though. I might try this anyway but use basic black instead but obviously I won't upload it.
