Title: A Rainy April Day Hostess: Kia (kiagc) Keyword: CAS476 Date: Week of April 9th, 2018
I love the month of April because of the rains that bring us those beautiful flowers we all love. We are a little messed up this year, some are having snow, instead of rain! Alas, how about a gallery celebrating the rains of April and how happy they make us. i.e. playing in the puddles, growing flowers, happy umbrellas. You know where I am going.
1. There is no deadline to play along with the CAS challenges. 2. Take all the time you need to finish and upload your card. 3. Upload your card to your gallery and link back to this thread so we all can see your project. 4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword CAS476 when uploading your image, a copy/paste of the keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please feel free to combine the CAS challenges with any other challenge!
The challenges are to provide inspiration and to get us stamping, so have fun and follow your heART. We can't wait to see what you create!
April showers bring May flowers,
That is what they say.
But if all the showers turned to flowers,
Wed have quite a colourful day! Thered be bluebells and cockleshells,
Tulips red and green,
Daffodils and Chinese squill,
The brightest youve ever seen. Youd see tiger lilies and water lilies,
Carnations pink and blue,
Forget-me-not and small sundrop
Glistening with the dew. Wed have fireweed and milkweed
And many more different flowers.
Mexican star and shooting star,
Falling in the showers. And if all the showers turned to flowers
On that rainy April day,
Would all the flowers turn to showers
In the sunny month of May? Have fun,
Your challenge is apropos for my area of the country since we have had nothing but cold, rain and snow since the groundhog saw his shadow. At least the daffodils have held for much longer!!
Wonderful challenge, Kia. Our spring rains have been wintery mix....the willows haven't even budded. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration piece. Here is my card. CAS476 Sympathy by Holstein - at Splitcoaststampers
Great challenge, thank you! I was inspired by the challenge photo- went with 2 step tulips, accented by
"water drops"- and a die cut mason jar with a wrapped twine embellishment. Here's Terrific Tulips

Here's my "epic fail"...didn't follow the challenge theme of rainy day (how about snowy day instead!) and created a messy watercolor that should have been trashed, but I went ahead and finished it. No rainy day here, only greeted by snowflakes this morning!

It was snowing while I made this card this morning - but that is April here in Colorado. Thank you for the fun challenge. Here is my entry A Peony Hello.
Happy to play again. Heres my Sympathy Blooms.
Its CAS because I masked the stamping to keep the bouquet on one layer before attaching all of the other stuff I cant resist.
Very late to the rainy day, but I'm here with my umbrella! I kept this challenge in mind when creating my rainy day card - truly without the rain, there is no rainbow
