This will be a first time for me, and I certainly hope I am able to keep up with the challenge. Please sign me up for CCC10. Thanks so much! I am so looking forward to this!
I would love to join! I have made most of my Christmas cards already for 2009 since I joined SCS. I didn't quite make as many as I will need but this challenge will get me motivated for next Christmas. I also need a challenge to make a few birthday cards each month so I am not doing those at the last minute but that is another story.

I always seem to need one.. right now.
I wasn't sure if Archiver's put holiday papers away after Christmas or not so I went and bought 12 sheets of pretty stuff. I have found 9 OSW to use.... off to find 2 more to do Christmas cards with. I hate to cut the pretty stuff up, but it drives me bonkers to have left over scraps of it too! Once i cut it I guess I need it gone! LOL
I think it may take me 11 months to do envie addressing too! LOL
Question.. does anyone decorate the envies too? I received some very pretty coordinating envies in a swap.
Last year I used a very small snowflake punch in the bottom corner of each envelope. The blue card stock on the card inside peeked through the punched section and it looked really cute (and was not time consuming to do). A number of people commented on that after they got the cards.

I might as well join for 2010. I made about 85 cards for 2009, but I started in September. I had lots of fun making about 18 different styles. I even made variations within some styles by changing the color of CS or changing the greeting. The insides are all the same with a Scripture on the left and my greeting on the right. I use my computer to print those on Avery labels.

Thanks Pammers for hosting!! This year was my first year and I loved having all my cards finished before December 1st! Please put me down for 5/month. I can get by with 55 cards plus all the challenge ones I do in the last quarter of the year.
thanks again!!

Count me in. I don't want for 2010 whe I'm living through now -- 13 days til Christmas and ZERO cards made. Hopefully the challenge will motivate me all year. Looking forward to trying new things.

Even though I am the worst at uploading the finshed cards - this is an awesome challenge it really relieves the stress of making cards for Christmas - definitely sign me up please
Please add me to the list! I had so much fun doing this challenge this year that I am already to go for 2010..... I have so many ideas already bubbling up!
I never would have gotten my Xmas cards done this year had it not been for the 2009 Xmas Card Challenge. Count me in for 2010!!!!! I will do 5 cards a month!
I want to be in the fun! Please count on me and count me in! Question: Some of my cards for next year may be duplicates. Do I show the duplicates if I make them, or only indivdual cards?
Thanks so much!

Please sign me up. I have been a member for 3 years now. 2010 will be my 4th year.
Every year I start out really good for a few months. Then, I lag behind. But, still I wind up catching up even if I don't always report it to you in pictures. I like the fact that I have joined and I get about 150-160 cards done for Christmas!
Thanks for doing this.
Roxie, that was one of my hopes as well. Do you have the info of where to send them?
Pammers... I am not setting any one number of cards to do, as I am planning to do mostly OSW. The ones I have found so far range between 8-16 cards.
I find someone here at SCS that has a loved one deployed and ask for an address. Its important that the SCS member let this loved one know your name for security reasons; soldiers may not open packages from unknown sources. I also put online friend to and state the SCS members first name just to refresh their memory. I think its always been a husband or son/daughter that I've sent to.
I use the flat rate boxes and so far have always sent the medium sized box which is 10.35 at the present time. Depending on card thickness you should around 200 cards per box.

I wrote this and I have tried reading every post, I have not found an answer to my question. Can anyone help? Or did I write it in a vague manner?
Thank you so much!
Traci S.
Cher, I got it at Archivers. Heidi Grace, Shimmer Glitter and Mistle Toe by Making Memories, Under the Tree by Reminisce are a few of the papers I used.
Roxi, thank you for the hints. Now to find someone that knows someone! LOL I live in a very small town! LOL
Traci, I think IMO if you take a picture of the whole group with one out front to show it off, we'd get the hint!
If I am wrong some one correct me quick! LOL
Check out the gallery and see how others are posted. The gallery is an amazing place to get ideas! Oh, and welcome to SCS! I know you're gonna enjoy it here, it's so addicting!
Oooo, sign me up please.:p I'm not only signing up for me, but I promised my dad I'd make them Christmas cards for 2010 also, so I've got my work cut out for me.
Hi all, sorry for being incognito. I will update the listing tomorrow but noticed the following:
Someone was thinking on sending for deployed soldiers...don't forget Operation Write Home. They take cards for all seasons! Carefully read the restrictions! Glitter is not recommended since it is picked up on night scopes and can stick to the uniforms...which in combat zones can be dangerous.
As for posting pictures, I've done it with one picture of a card - when I've added it to my gallery and I've done it with the cards laid out and one standing - when I just added a thumbprint attachment. Sometimes it takes more time than I have to upload a card so I've gotten "lazy" and just add the picture to my posting.
As for duplicate cards, I usually made all of one design each month so I ended up with several different designs. Next year, I will limit myself to 3 different styles of cards...family...friends...coworkers/business acquaintinces
and sorry Kathymat! I'll fix your name...
smiles everyone!
