I would like to give this a try at 4 to 5 cards a month. This is the first ongoing challenge I'm signing myself up for. Last year I 'intended' to stamp Christmas cards every month and by mid-December I still had 0 cards stamped for myself!

Please add me to this list...two years in a row I've not started my cards until December, this year I swore I'll never do it again...lol!
I need about 5 cards per month...
I'd like to join as well. This Christmas was horridly stressful because I was making cards for everyone except myself. I would LOVE to avoid that this year!
I'll give this a try. I don't need 110 Christmas cards, but I'll see how it goes. I know I don't need to do that many, but I want to! Maybe I'll give some away...

Hey Susan! glad to see you over here. :-) The stash is gonna disappear in no time.

Mary,
I re-evaulated what I need for this year, scratching off a few people at their request (their own religious reasons) and then taking off some deaths in the family/friends, and again scratching thru those who dh says theres no need to send to (no return, thank you, or acknowlegment in YEARS) so I'll only be needing 6 a month February thru October. I'll then be doing thank you's for the kids and us to use for Christmas gifts in November, and will be making 25 of those.
I just wanted to post a head's up on it, so you didn't think I was flaking when I only make 6 starting for Feb, LOL

Not a problem, Kana. Thanks for letting me know. I'll make sure to change your monthly totals on my tally sheet!
I need to do this. I didn't get any Christmas cards out last year because I was trying to do it all at the last minute. (I ended up making New's Cards instead) As an added bonus this will help me on the Stamp to Spend Challenge.

I don't need to make 10 a month to get the # I will need but I figure I will not get that many made during the summer so am working ahead now. How will that work for the challenge? I figured 8 per month would be plenty. Can I just post the others I make into the next month so I am ahead?
Janet
I noticed you have a weight loss listed. I belong to Sparks America and have lost 40 lbs this last year also. Way to go, keep doing what you are doing. I know it is a life style change and am feeling so much better. I want to lose another 30 lbs but am taking it slow so I will keep it gone. Exercise and eating right seems to be the key. I reward myself with more craft time after doing exercise and the healthy eating is getting to be a real habit at our home.

LOL Me too, Jody! Mailed my NY cards last week. Hated doing it but figured I should at least let people know we were till alive. I've never NOT sent a Christmas card in the 25 years we've been married. Just not right.

Way to Go, Janet!
Every major meal program out there recommends 3 meals, 2 snacks over the course of a normal day - that's fueling our body with healthy foods every 3 hours. You're on the right track and going to do AWESOME! Not to mention doing LOTS of stamping :-)

I do the three meals and three snacks most days, everything gets recorded so I know where I stand with my calories and fruit/veggie intake. We eat a lot of fish, chicken and turkey and salads. There are so many good things to eat once you really start looking and paying attention to what is in your food. Our favorite place to eat lunch out has become SubWay. Their roasted chicken breast sandwitch is one of the foods that fit well on our diet plan.
Time to look up a new tech. to try and see what I can manage to make. I think I will try this weeks mash and ?? one with the different colors.
Have a great day.
Janet, who is very glad to have found this site.
You live in TN and you're rooting for the Ravens??
MileyFan and myself both live in TN almost 2 years but we are originally from MD, dh just had a Raven vs. Titan party to watch the game and more so WATCH THE RAVENS WIN!!!
I am new to this forum, but I would like to start some challenges. I don't need to do 10 a month, maybe about 5, but I hope to change my designs each month.

Well it isn't very often that you find someone with the same name. I am also Janet and I live in Middle TN. I love the Chicken breast from subway. Usually deli meat has alot of nitrates and possible MSG (which I am very allergic to) so I was happy when they started with these chicken breast. I also try to eat healthy. My dh lost weight on Weight Watchers and I have lost weight just by watching what I eat and exercising. I used to eat a lot at night, my dh work until 8:00pm so I would eat with him at night, just changing that and eating better in the AMs helped. My next quest no more soda. (I do drink diet but everything I have been reading it isn't good for you either).

Where in Maryland are you from? I'm in Pasadena- Anne Arundel County.

When we first got married I we lived in Glen Burnie, I use to work down the street from the Court House for an attorney.
We then moved to Lansdown, (Baltimore Highlands) and our last place to live in MD was Perry Hall, we were about 10 minutes from White Marsh Mall.
We have dear friends that live near Marley Station. My two older daughters live in Middle River and Essex.
Small world. How long have you been stampiing/crafting?

Well, we were practically neighbors! When I was growing up, we lived in Northeast (Cecil Co.) and Whiteford (Harford Co.) for about a year in each place. My dad was in the Air Force. After he retired we settled here in Maryland, living in Maryland City (Laurel) until I graduated high school (Arundel HS). I lived in Jessup when we first got married, then in 1983 moved to Pasadena where we've been ever since.
I've been crafting for many, many years- all sorts- needlepoint/counted-cross stitch/crochet/beading/latch hook/etc., but I didn't start stamping until about 8 years ago...and I've been hooked ever since!

I don't drink reg. soda anymore and have cut way down on the amount of diet soda I drink. I do drink diet lemonade though. Mostly I will drink water or tea, I know an important part of any diet is getting plenty of water. My husband is losing weight right along with me on this change of life style (I don't call it a diet anymore). A good part of my reason for starting this was to improve his health (he has congestive heart failure and his dr. said he needed to lose weight and exercise more) but once I started I decided I really needed to do it for myself and let him take care of himself. That is working a lot better than nagging ever worked
Need to get ready for church, catch everyone later.
