I am going to start on Jan cards this weekend. Hopefully I will keep up!!! I don't need 110 cards for myself; but last year I sent 100 cards to Cards For Heroes (instead of using them for myself!!! LOL) Maybe this year I will make enough for both!!
Hi Mary, it's Linda Daley - I use a different screen name on SCS. Anyway I would like to join the challange this year - I always stress to get my cards out and the last 2 years I tried the challange and didn't get very far. I'm determined this year to do it thru the end.
Thanks for coordinating this.
NO, you can use any products you want.........this challenge is for yourself, designed so that you will have enough cards to send out for next Christmas. Whatever you want to use is just fine!
Thanks! I'm in then. Have to calculate how many I need but think 10/month should be close.

Hi, Linda!! Welcome! I didn't do very well with this challenge last year, but I'm hoping since I'm the 'keeper of the challenge' that I'll do better this year! Maybe we can keep each other on track!
I took this challenge on during 2008 and was thankful that all my cards were done before I really needed them. One less things to worry about during the holiday preparation. Please include me for 2009.

How do you send them to the Heroes? I know two families that the men just left December 31st for 1 year. My SU demo and my friend/neighbor.

STS09- Cards- 1/ LOs- 0/Allotted-$ 1.00/Spent-$ 0.00
Hey Mary what does this mean???
Janet
Janet- I'm in the Stamp to Spend Challenge...those are my statistics...I can earn $1 per card that I make and $5 per 2-page scrapbook layout to use towards buying stamping stuff. So far, I've only made 1 card this year and I've 'earned' $1 to spend. Here's the link to the challenge where it explains it in detail (although I'm doing mine a little different):
Hi Mary - I think I want to try this again. I did it last year, and did not complete all 110 cards but I had plenty on hand to use and was even able to give some to my sister. Hopefully, I'll be more organized and will do better this year...count me in!
I signed up for this last year and made all my Christmas cards .... the weekend of December 6. My intentions were good, but I don't think that counts. I had all my supplies bought in April, but I don't think that counts either.
That being said - I'm going to try again this year. Wish me luck.

I have never done this kind of swap before. Do we send you the cards or just put them in our gallery (which I don't have yet).
Thanks:confused:
This isn't a swap. You're making YOUR Christmas cards for next Christmas...all you need to do is make your January cards, upload them to your gallery (once you upload your first card, your gallery will be established)and then post a thread in the CCC-09 January thread that you've completed them and I'll mark you off my list. That's it! If you do this for every month, come the end of November, you'll have all the Christmas cards that you'll need to send to your family and friends...and it'll all be stress free! ;)

There are several addresses if you look under forums. or just Google "Cards for Heros". I live near an Air Force Base, so it was easy to find someone who was sending cards. I know SCS always has a monthly cause as well. Let me know if you need help finding someone as a liason.
Okay, I think I should join you all in trying to be more prepared next holiday season I had every intention of sending out handmade Christmas cards this year and ran out of time. I ended up at Walmart.com a couple of weeks before Christmas ordering photo cards! Maybe this will help me avoid the same situation next hear!
I'm IN!!!! I need the kick-in-the-butt to get them done this year. I'm so ashamed I had so many other people's orders to fill that I never got to my own :( Maybe this way, I'll have them done with time to address them this fall! HA! Thanks ladies!!

This is exactly what I need! Before I saw this challenge, I planned on starting my cards at a weekend crop at the end of February. Now I won't feel so wierd! I think I'll plan on 5 per month - thanks!
May I join? It sounds like a great idea to me. I ended up buying cards from Wally world this past Christmas and felt so bad. I just didn't have time to get them done.
I'd love to join this year. I have been following the various challenges for two years now and am finally brave enough to give it a go. I too will have to learn to post but I know I will get tons of support.
