I thought dry embossing meant one of the Folders you use with Cuttle Bug.
I'd forgotten all about using stencils for that! LOL

I use my stencils with toothpaste that I've added ink to.

Hi Vikki Jo,
Yes your right it is an embossing folder and a Cuttlebug to boot, it's just called "Holly" and it's been around for a few years now.

I used a shaving brush to do the shading. I love sponging, shading and dry and wet embossing so most of my cards have at least one of these things on them.
Cheers
Marg

Hi Angie,
No normally dry embossing means you raise the paper by placing it in an embossing folder then applying presure with one of the Machines on the market like the Cuttlebug or Sizzix Big Shot. It's fast and you get great results every time. There have been quite a few tutorials on dry embossing on SCS that would be worth lookng at. I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder called "Holly" that has been around fro a while.

I will have to admit I don't have many stencils.Cheers Marg

I'm frustrated to death! I have completed my Jan and Feb cards but am struggling with the software for my new camera. Can't get them edited and posted until I actually READ the instruction manual. Will get them up this weekend at the latest.

Depending on the camera and your computer (if you have a laptop), usually it's as easy as taking the memory card from your camera and putting it into a slot on the laptop.

If not... find a 16 yr old LOL They can run circles around us when it comes to this stuff :-)

Yep, I know dry embossing. Until the folders started coming out a few years ago I had always done it the "old fashioned" way, with brass stencil and a stylus. My brain just does not compute folders as dry embossed.

CCC12_Jan_Wreath on Door by DianeStampsandScraps - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Here is a link to my cards for January. I made 28 of these, and had them done mid January. Due to an unforseen stay at the hospital for over a week I am just now uploading.
I found this design here on SCS, and will try to give credit to the person who inspired me asap.

A week in the hospital is no fun. Hope you're on the mend. Your image is still pending approval so have to wait until tomorrow to look at it.

Well, it may be May before I start on my January cards. Got home from school last night and decided that I am going to have to live at the library for the next 5 weeks. Don't know what the next two classes will bring, but this one is a doozy.

Well, after a slow start, finally got my January cards done, and did 6 instead of 5 because it was easier for some weird reason! Now have to figure out what to do for Feb before that month runs out!
