Just posted my April cards. Yes I know I am behind. I am so tired of my swap cards, I just can't do 10 more cards in the same design!
I started these last year for cs143 but got sick and ended up in the hospital.
Just pulled them out to finish, put my dd and ds school pics in and mailed them. They cost .79 cents each in postage! Got to make lighter cards!
I think I need to make some bday cards next.

Hi , I would love to join in this challenge, I make cards raise funds for the Gozo SPCA so this will help to make sure i have enough for myself next year , instead of buying mine ready made from the spca !!

Leslie, You're too funny! I just joined in September, but Igot 25 cards done, so that brings me to Saint Pattie's Day. I just took pix of all 25 -- got to get them loaded into an album > so much to do, so little time. :p

I never participated in a challenge like this before but sure sounds like a fantastic way to keep ahead of holiday panic. I don't send out anywhere near 100 cards but was thinking I could do each month differently for that season ie. Valentines, Easter etc. At the end I would have 12 sets of 12 cards to give as gift sets. Now I just need a 13th month to make 12 gift boxes ;) ok, ok, one box a month ::sigh::

We're Jewish, so it's the same for us -- we send mostly generic holiday cards, some Christmas cards to our religoius friends, and Chanukah cards. I've been making cards for all the major holidays that we send out "holiday" cards for -- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and now starting in on Chanukah, Christmas and New Year's. Going to make some also for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's, and Easter when those are done. And I don't always male 10 the same... I get bored very quickly and then change this a little and that a little... But I've now passed St. Pattie's Day, closing in on Memorial Day (end of May, lol).
I just wanted to say thank you to Alliesmem for all of her hard work with this challenge each month! You rock!!
I am so grateful to have this challenge and so happy to have a whole shoe box of Christmas cards ready to go for this upcoming holiday season! Plus I have the fun of making x-mas cards all year long!
Just posted 3 sets!! I have a total of 50, plus a set of 5!
I have decided to cut my Christmas card list down. Don't think I will use all 55 of them. At least I have a start for next Christmas.

And NOW I am up through October!! YES!!!! And closing in on the end of the year quickly! Can't believe I actually managed to get caught up AND got them into an album in my gallery!
I just want to post a thank you for this challenge. I am so ready with the Christmas cards and it is because of the challenge. I even have some cards to send to the troops via the Red Cross. Thanks so much SCSers
hi everyone. I have not been the best hostess lately. Life seems to keep getting in the way! But I will be reviewing all the photos of cards in the next two weeks and will be drawing the name of the winner for the prize pack on December 15th. I will give everyone the next week to post Novembers pictures so that they can be included in the final drawing!
Good luck to everyone and Congratulation on getting so many cards done this year!
Since life seems to be so hectic for me, I feel like I am not giving this challenge my full attention. So I was wondering is someone wants to take over this challenge. This is a great challenge to keep going. So many of you have done so well getting your holiday cards done because of it. If anyone thinks they may want to do, just send me a PM and I will let you know what you will need to do. It is a pretty easy job.
Thanks so much to everyone who has participated. It has been so much fun to see everyone's creations! You are all such an inspiration to me! I have also made a few friends along the way. It has been great. Of course, I will still participate, and see what everyone is doing. I just think that at this time, I can't give it the attention it needs.

Alllllmost!!!
All of mine are done through November and half of December's are done as well!
AND, they are all uploaded into my Holiday Card Album in my gallery, and sorted and labeled in order by month. (That took longer than making the actual cards LOL. Yikes, what a chore THAT was.)
Off to do today's challenge, and make some more holiday cards!
Happy Holidays, everyone.... and you do realize what this all means... now that we have these done, we have to sit down, address them, and MAIL them LOL!
no. I refuse. I will not write a zillion names and addresses, lick a zillion stamps, and then take them to my post office, where they look at me like I'm a dork, LOL
Seriously, though, I don't write our return info, always a sticker, but I do write the rest.
What fun. I try to manage 10-15 per day until done.
I hope to be ready for the 09 challenge as well. Our basement took on 2" of water in the spring. Not a bunch compared to others south of us but it was enough to rquire pulling everything up off the floor, creating treated risers and putting stuff back in place. This meant my work surface was covered. None of my stuff was damaged but I didn't have a place to work or able to get to things easily. Yep 2008 Early Bird plans went south. LOL Now things are back in place and 2009 looks promising.

Still working on my photography skills, thanks for bearing with me. I have hinted to my hubby that I would LOVE a light cube to help me take better pictures for the holidays, keeping my fingers crossed...
As you can see, indecisive little me, I had difficulty deciding on which layout I liked best - what you do think? Do any of you have a preference? I have close ups of each individual card in my gallery too, if you wish to check them out.
Thanks to Allie for organizing this challenge! It has been fun even if I haven't been able to keep up.
I may join the 2009 challenge but it sounds strictly Christmas/Hanukkah, and I don't know if I need that many holiday cards and thank you's. I can try to effectuate this on my owqn, I can be disciplined sometimes!
Hope everyone's holiday season is off to a WONDERFUL start!
Well, I have checked everyone's name off who participated and put them all in a hat. And I drew one out and guess who it was???/
Can't guess, well, I will tell you then. It was Vera! Congratulations Vera! You are the winner of the yearly Holiday card challenge! Wait till you see the great box of goodies you will be receiving! You're gonna love it!
And I want to say thanks to everyone who participated this year! It was so much fun to see everything that you all did! I got so much inspiration!
Good luck to everyone who is continuing on to next year!
Vera, I will get out your surprise package some time this week!
OMG!!! I wasn't expecting this at all! In fact, I had quite forgotten that there was a prize attached to this challenge. Just participating in the challenge all year long and having so many cards made by December is such a joy in and by itself. I've already signed up for next year!
Thank you so much, Lynne, for hosting this wonderful challenge and for leaving comments on everybody's cards! You are the best!
Thanks for hosting this challenge. I had a great time and had more than enough holiday cards created by September. This has really removed a lot of stress from my life - how great to be able to sit down and address Christmas cards in early December without having to first go rushing frantically to the craft room!!

I have to say, I am going to miss being the host on this challenge. But I really wasn't giving it the attention I should have. I have gotten to know many of you through this challenge and that was the best part of hosting. I am sure the new hostess will do a great job of carrying on the challenge.
Sorry I don't know your name, But I want to Thank You for hosting this challange.
I know I did not complete all months, but I make Bday cards, fall and halloween cards along with 55 christmas cards. I have extra Christmas cards left over-How cool is that! All stamped and mailed!!
It was fun to make Christmas cards at my own pace-Not rushing around to do them now.
Thanks again for your hard work.
I will be off look for the 2009 challange-as soon as I eat something before I pass out. Been wraping all the presents for my family and now it is 3;15pm. Tired but happy everything is done. Now I can make some cookies!
