2016 Cards For A Cause
NOVEMBER MISSION Stamp from the Heart!
ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Sharing Parents of Sacramento
Description of Organization: Sharing Parents is a volunteer support group of parents who have experienced the death of their baby(ies) from the time of conception through early infancy.
Cards to welcome new parents to the group- these go out to all new parents who attend a Support Meeting or a Milestone Meeting for the first time as an acknowledgement of their loss and to express our gratitude to them for sharing their story with us.
TYPE OF CARDS: Mother’s Day Cards - recognizing our mothers on Mother’s Day (do not use “Happy Mother’s Day” - needs to be something like “Recognizing you as the mother you are on this Mother’s Day” or any other quote or saying that expresses an appropriate sentiment.
Father’s Day Cards - recognizing our fathers on Father’s Day - same note as mother’s day. No “happy”.
Thank You cards - cards that go out for donations as a thank you for contributing to Sharing Parents.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: NO religious cards Please leave the inside right page BLANK as I print a personalized message with the parents’ and baby’s names inside. GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. this months "cause" is so special to me...I know and work with a lot of people and I do mean a lot, probably 30 people in just my work place; that have lost a child, some two. I do not have children, but this is one of the hardest things I think someone would have to endure. I am very excited to support this group and share our cards with them! THANK YOU!

This is just a question, but what about parents who were adopting and at the last second the mother changed her mind? My friends had the nursery done, the clothes bought and everything, and a nurse at the hospital convinced the teenager to keep her baby.

hello! I have not read everything from the link they offered, but I would think if a Mom came to them and was grieving because of the example you gave; I would hope they would welcome her in.

I would stick with what they have requested....I totally understand what you are saying and where your heart is at, but this is a very sensitive place to be and being welcomed to this group may not be such a great feeling.

we can use C4AC as a keyword, I will be using that from now on and going forward next year. I may have a monthly OPTIONAL challenge like this year but I think we will stick with one keyword for everything rather than switching it up every month.

kandie, we are mailing them to the address stated in the cause, they use them as they wish. let me know if you have any other questions.
