ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Tri-County Humane Society
DESCRIPTION:
The Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS) operates an independent non-profit animal shelter in St. Cloud, MN. The TCHS has been providing quality services to the people and animals of Central Minnesota since 1974.
Some of our services include care for homeless animals, pet adoption, pet lost and found, and humane education. We also provide knowledgeable answers to questions regarding pet care, behavior and many other animal related issues.
CONTACT PERSON:

Referred by:
Karen Howard
TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED:
The Tri-County Humane Society is able to use the following types of cards:
* Birthday cards - please limit to 1 per person (they only have 20-25 staff to give birthday cards to so won't use too many birthday cards)
* Pet themed cards - general or thank you pet themed cards. The TCHS sends lots of thank you cards. Pets include cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds, etc. Anything pet related goes too such as dog house, paw prints, dog bones, food dish, toys, mice, fish bones, yarn balls, etc.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS:
* Please leave the inside of the pet themed cards blank for the humane society to write a personal thank you message. If you are using dark colors of card stock please consider adding a white lining on the inside of the card.
* Please provide envelopes, especially if cards are other than the standard A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). If you wish to include forever stamps that would be wonderful but is not required.
GUIDELINES:
Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

Wonderful- thanks for letting us know! Would pet sympathy cards be OK? I already have one I created the other day that may be appropriate but was not sure since you noted "thank you"....I was trying out a new die that I purchased :-)

Just an FYI. Like many of you I also only have a few animal stamps. A quick check of some clip art sites and I found some adorable dogs for my cards. Also on Pinterest found some free doggy dp that I can use.

I have 12 cards going postal tomorrow. I tried to think out of the box and include some other animals/pets along with my dog and cat cards. Here's a sampling of a bird (for the bird lovers), fish (for aquarium owners), and even a mouse/rat for those who love those little critters, too! I tried to add these to the optional challenge gallery (C4AC36) as I used beads on them, but I'm not sure they ended up there.
Love this Cause!
