Compassionate Cards December Mission

Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very
excited to get started with this month's Compassionate Cards mission. This month will be the Salvation Army located in Tacoma, WA. For more information, please visit their website at: http://www1.usw.salvationarmy.org/us...usw_tacoma.nsf
This organization is a Christian based organization that provides services to the public which include:

� Counseling
� Rental Assistance
� Food
� Life Saving Prescriptions (exclusions include but are not limited to: Narcotics)
� Transportation Assistance
� Utility Assistance
� Emergency Housing
� Child Care
� Nursing Home Visits (League of Mercy)
� Youth Programs
� Emergency Services
� Disaster Relief

I think it would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and hope. I hope that you will join me in this important cause.

There are no restrictions for your card donations. Anything that you can do
to help and encourage would be much appreciated. Some ideas for the cards would be: Hello, Hi, Thinking of you, Thank you, Wishing you all the best, Greetings, Warm Wishes, Let Your Light Shine, Smile, Happy Birthday, and Get Well. Please leave them blank inside. I have a pre-printed message that I place inside each card. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible. One special note: If you will be sending Christmas cards please try and have them to be by the 15th of December, that way I will have a chance to hand deliver them before Christmas. After the 15th of December please send non-Christmas cards.

I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated. Feel free to
post a link to the cards that you have made so we can all see your work! :0)

Please have your cards to me no later than December 31st. If sending Christmas cards, please have them to me by the 15th. :0)

Hi Ruby in MN- Your cards arrived yesterday! I love your card that says "Your Sew Special" with the buttons! So cute! The cards that says, "We grow great dreams" is really beautiful with the flowers, ribbon and the butterfly. The card that you made with Live, Love, Laugh with the stitched card is so darling. I haven't seen that done before. The "unfrogettable" card with the frog with the googly eyes is so darn cute!!! Thank you so much for all your hard work in making the cards so adorable! :0)

Curry from KY-Thank you very much for sending your cards. They are so pretty. I love the card with the "partridge bird" on it. The embossed cat with the butterfly is just magical. :0)The little bunny card holding the flowers is so cute. The bee card with the googly eyes and the vellum for wings really is super cute. I love the little girl on the purple and black card. I think that color combination is just beautiful.

Rosalia in NY- Wow! Wow! Wow! I love your children's nativity card. Your Christmas Wishes card with the dove and the flowers is breath taking! The ribbon is the perfect combinations to tie it all in. I love the embossed nativity scene in the ornament. Such a beautiful job! Thank you so much!

I will be bringing the cards in on the 15th of this month and then another round at the end of the month. Thank you for taking time out of this month to make the cards for others. I know this is a busy time for everyone so it means so much to know that you took time out to make them!

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for all your hard work especially this time of year when everyone is busy with their own families. We had a total of 300 cards donated this month.
