Lightbulb 2022 At A Glance

JANUARY: THRU Project (San Antonio, TX) - This is a new group for Cards For A Cause...They help young adults as they transfer out of the foster care system and do not have an adult to help them. Requested cards are birthday (given to youth ages 15 to 25), graduation cards, or holidays. Envelopes are very much appreciated but not required..

FEBRUARY: Covenant House (Anchorage, AK) - cards requested are Thank You, blank note cards, Birthday, and Anniversary (celebrating years of service for volunteers and staff). Some Christian themed cards are welcome and they do wish to have envelopes.

MARCH: Cards for Hospitalized Kids (Chicago, IL) - This group was featured back in 2017...they provide cards to kids in hospitals. Cards can be anything - Easter, any holiday, Hello, etc. Please refrain from Get Well or Hope You Feel Better type of cards.

APRIL: Sharing Parents (Sacramento, CA) - This is another group that was featured way back when...They are a support group pregnancy and infant loss. They would like cards to send to the grieving parents who attend their groups as well as Thank you cards for their donors. No religious themes please or anything to do with babies (such as cribs, babies/children, lullabies, etc) - things that would be great are things like hearts, butterflies, nature, etc.

MAY: AniMeals (Missoula, MT) - A new group for us....AniMeals is an animal shelter in MT that has so many programs to assist animals and their owners!!

JUNE: Operation Quiet Comfort (Carolina Shores, NC) - This is another group that was featured back in 2019. Their goal is to support and encourage service men & women who are injured during their service as well as those who care for them. Requested cards would be anything uplifting and encouraging as well as thank you cards.

JULY: Bring Smiles To Seniors (Odessa, FL) - A revisit for our group - all themes and season welcome - they use more Thinking of You type cards but all cards are welcome. No restrictions and Christian themes welcome. They do wish to have envelopes but not mandatory.

AUGUST: You Matter Project (Etna, NY) - This group was featured several times over the years and is organized by a fellow SCS member. The goal is to help inspire, empower, and uplift those who have endured trauma due to abuse. Any type of card that would encourage someone is desired...they send cards year round.

SEPTEMBER: Embrace Community Center (Barberton, OH) - this is a previous group - a pregnancy center that will send the cards to donors, volunteers, and clients. All themes welcome - baby themes, thank you, birthday, sympathy, note cards. No restrictions, religious themes welcome, envelopes not required.

OCTOBER: Send Seniors Love (Knoxville, TN) - cards for senior citizens - all themes and season welcome - they only ask that they are encouraging and have a personal feel. No restrictions and Christian themes welcome. They do wish to have envelopes but not mandatory.

NOVEMBER: Hope For Warriors - tentative

DECEMBER: TBA
