They have a package of two rolls of double stick Scotch tape 1/2 inch, 500 inches for $1.59! This is the kind of tape that is the ROLL only and you need a hand or desk dispenser to use it!
Also, I picked up one of the DISPENSERS of permanent glue dots for 200 glue dots for $1.09! Repositionable glue dots were NOT on sale, and they were about the size of a thumbtack, but nice and thin, not thick!
A friend, Susan, on a yahoo group I am on gave me the hint to go there...
I got 7 two packs of tape = 14 rolls of tape, plus the one dispenser for only $13.04, tax included!
Is this a sale that's just for this week, or is an "all the time" price? I go to Walgreens every week, but it never occurred to me to check their adhesives.
Also, was it the dispenser only (i.e. no glue dots included) for $1.09?
The double-sided tape is on clearance with an orange clearance tag. IDK about the dispenser, as my local store didn't have those, but I'm guessing that's probably a clearance too.
which Walgreens in Waukesha did you find these at? I filled a 'script at the one by Target last night and did not look at these....................
I found some at the downtown Waukesha (North Ave, I think?) and Meadowbrook. There were also some at the 24-hour store on Sunset and Tenny, but they were marked $3.59 (still, less than half price, but I held out for cheaper.)
Ladies, if you see the Glue Dots marked the full price have them check the price. I just purchased 10 that were $3.59 each on the shelf but they rang up at $1.09 each. So it is well worth the time to have them check the price for you.
Thanks for posting this about the doubled sided tape! I called my brother who had a meeting "in the city". He stopped at two Walgreens and got me 9 packages! One more Walgreens to check out. Also have an email sent out to family members to look for me. OMG, I was so excited when my brother called to tell me he got some....geez louise...getting excited over TAPE! lol

But if they have any left it shall be well worth it!

Thank you for this tip! My dh was on his way when I read this last night and I asked him to stop in that section - they had 1 glue dots left and a whole heard of the tape I'm not a fan of ds tape but told him to pick one up to try it (again, lol) and it's really sturdy and decent. I appreciate the tip! :mrgreen:
I went to 3 more walgreens in our area today looking for gluedots - all sold out. Store #4 was new and on the way home from dd's school - went in and they had 4. But regular price. Everything was marked clearance all around it (same dd tape, scotch tape handler and refills, etc) but not the glue dots. I grabbed them anyway figuring I could ask the manager if they were not on sale due to a reason unforseen (usually the sales are across the board, not invidual stores, but it could happen right?!) but before I could do that, I asked the cashier to ring them and see what price pops up and sure enough ....... $1.09! YAY! Turns out whoever was putting those clearance signs everywhere "Forgot" the glue dots one and people walked right by them since the other rows were empty. I'm so glad I did'n't just assume and had them ring them up to see! I'm vacationing this summer and these are absolutely perfect to take along since the ATG isn't very travel friendly, lol

What kind of glue dots are these, how are they packaged, are they in a box or something like a tape runner.

Hhhmmm, thanks for the tip! I have not gone to Wal-greens in awhile and will be going into town tomorrow. I use double stick tape primarily on all of my cards and projects unless it calls for some other kind of adhesive (I find that it sticks better than other adhesives). I just bought a 2 roll refill at Target the other day for $4 a pop. Will definitely make plans to go there tomorrow to check it out!
THanks for the tip. I went to one Walgreens yesterday and was able to get one...the last one....of the glue dots and I also got 2 packs of the double stick tape. They had a bunch of the double stick tape but I really wanted the glue dots. I am hoping to try the only other Walgreens that is close to me. Wish me luck!! ;)

Well I went to the other Walgreens after my sons soccer game. THey only had the double stick tapre left.:-( I was really hoping they had the glue dots. Oh well.....getting one at the other store is still better than getting none at eithre of the 2 stores.
Went to four walgreens found some tape and glue dots at one but they where marked 2.99. I took one up for a price check and they where still 2.99. Boo HOO.....
Get them to price check the items! Last night the glue dots said 3.99 on the sign but they were 1.09...but the blue permanent ones only, not green...repositionable...they are NOT on sale...
Thanks so much for the alert- I got the last sticky dots pkg and a pkg of double sided tape. I have already used the sticky dots and I love the dots on a dispenser......will have to check out other Walgreens stores for these....
Well, now my Walgreens had a nifty dispenser for the double stick tape...and it came with a roll of magic tape too...
for $1.99, NOT on sale!
Here is a link to a place online that sells the dispenser...which is so cool becaue it will slide into a drawer, and there is a little flap/door to cover the tape so it does not get lint and fuzz on it...yay!
I am sure shipping would eat you up online, so I would say check your local Walgreens first...then try the online ordering...
