Just wanted to plug the special Sue is running this month at Heart & Soul Rubber Stamp Co. ... this is a tiny company with a huge heart, and tons of awesome inspirational and encouraging sayings. You can see examples of their stamps here in the gallery (though a search for "heart soul" turns up more than just their stamps...) or in my personal H&S gallery (not affiliated...just a happy customer and self-appointed PR rep!). Hey everyone...I've been trying to think of another way to help all the hurricane folks in the Gulf Coast- they need $$$$$$- not my rubber stamps!(They don't actually belong to me anyway...I'm just the steward
So here's the plan....During the month of October (yes...ALL MONTH LONG !) I'm going to pick from the stamps (UNMOUNTEDS ONLY!!!) that are really overstocked and sell them for 50 cents each! You can send in your order by snail/email like this : "I'd like, say, $20 worth."
For ordering information go to www.heartandsoulrubberstampco.com-No repeats (unless you order more than I have! ) I'll pay for the shipping, keep track of how much we raise, and the first part of November send a ginormous (hopefully!) check (100% of the orders!) to the hurricane relief efforts connected with my denomination- you can see more at www.lcms.org.....
Here's a few 'hints' to make it even more fun to be involved: the more generous you are, the more generous we'll be And I have a birthday in the second half of October...if I receive your order on my birthday you will be especially blessed!!!
This will be great! I can make some more room around here...we help some folks who really need it...and you get a great dealio on some rubber...think ahead to Christmas gift giving! OOOH OOOH! I just had another great idea! I think I'll have a 'secret contest' with a special prize for the person who is the most generous! It's a "grab bag" ...I just looked over all of her stamps, and really liked most everything...so I am going for it!

Cindy-thanks. I'm hoping to make some bay sales and be able to order by the end of the month. I liked her stamps, alot. And I have become obsessed with um's-hahaha. I should get the um round robin tomorrow according to the tracking-yea!!

YAY! So glad to hear that many of you are ordering. There are still a couple more days! I know Sue really wanted to be able to use the income from this sale to be a blessing to others in need, so I hope she is encouraged with her total at the end of the month. I sent a few grab bags as RAKs - that was fun. Wow, too - sounds like she was generous with the extra goodies, huh! 11 extra stamps?
If you miss the October grab bag special but still want to order, or just want to place an order for specific stamps you love, her regular priced UM stamps are only $1.50. You so can't beat that.

Shelly, thank you so much! We are slowly coming back into a routine again. For DH it's a matter of accepting and recognizing the symptoms of his muscle condition, and also finding a pace that doesn't wipe him out the next day. If I could get my body back into a healthy balance, I'd be doing well...I've really had one thing after another for 2 weeks now. Blah! Hugs to you - appreciate your prayers!
So, according to her website, you can send a check or a Money Order...Is the paypal optional? Or do you have to have it to send her a regular personal check?

I just ordered. What a great deal. Sue sent me an email and paypal invoice within minutes of my email. Sure hope the stamps come just as fast. Thanks to the OP for letting us know about this.
I received my envelope stuffed full of stamps the other day. Oh my goodness! I received some awesome stamps, large and small poinsettias, lots of great verses ... a wonderful mix of images and sentiments.
I ordered last Monday- I am running to the mailbox each day- I cannot wait till they get here. thanks to Dini for her post about this- I cannot wait to see what comes in the mail!!!
I got my stamps in the mail yesterday. Wow!! It's quite an assortment. Now I just have to get the stuff so that I can mount them. I'm really excited though!!!

I always knew it- this just reinforces it....When I had this 'overstock sale' idea, I was so excited about it that the 'downturn' in the economy hadn't been in the forefront of my mind....(not a whole lot of things can make it all the way up there...heheheh) I appreciate that $$ is hard to come by, and EXTRA $$ IS EVEN HARDER TO SCRAPE UP! That being said: 26 of you took the leap of faith and ordered anyway! ( and Kay R. is the 'secret contest' winner- be watching your mailbox Kay!
What I assumed would be a blessing to others, has blessed ME beyond measure. (That's the 'strange economics of grace' in a nutshell ) I was so encouraged by all of your emails and birthday wishes. (51! yikes) You gals rock ! ( and I can say gals because the men folks all passed on this opportunity...musta been out in the garage or something...)
So our grand total for the month is $463.00 ! and I will 'round it up' to $500 and send a check out tomorrow to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Hurricane Relief Fund. I really can't thank you all enough...NOW GO GET STARTED ON THOSE CHRISTMAS CARDS!!! heheheh....
P.S. I'm sure that if you all get to 'comparing' you'll find that almost everyone received a 'garden verse' stamp- I have no idea how I ended up with so many of those!
