I took the plunge!!
Well, ladies....I did it. I sent my starter kit information off to my upline this morning!! That means in just over a week, I'll be a demo too!! Yahooooooooo! I can't wait. I'm soooooooo excited.
My upline is absolutely wonderful. Since I"m pretty new to stamping, she's invited me up to her house next month for a stamp camp and then a workshop at her house afterwards. Also, the following week, there's another workshop with HER upline that she invited me to. She told me I should come on up since I'm part of that big group also.
She's also volunteered to come down to my place in the fall and help me with my first stamp camp and/or workshop. We live two hours apart so I know I've found a great upline when she volunteered to do that!!
Geezzzzzzzzzz I can hardly contain myself. I'm soooooooo excited. I went from knowing NOTHING about stamps to taking the big plunge and becoming a demo. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

You will love working for Stampin' UP they are so helpful and always a phone call away to questions you may have. And they don't laugh at you either. I remember when I first started I acidently cut one of my stamp sets and then threw it away with out knowing. I called them and said, I need this one rubber stamp so my husband wouldn't know I did something so dumb. They said no problem I will keep your secret and it will only cost you 3.95 or something like that to replace it. I said thanks and didn't have to tell anyone what I had did. Oppps now that I sent this I guess everyone knows. ugggghh lol

Wow!! My upline just called me and she sent my info off today to Stampin Up. She told me to call on Wednesday to see if they have me in there yet.
Also, and this goes to show how wonderful she is going to be to me, she sent me a very lengthy, very detailed email (4 pages when I printed it at 10 pt font size) LOL about the demonstrator area on the website and how to do the various things it offers and what is available. At the end of her email, she said "I hope I haven't overwhelmed you". I emailed her back and said "Nope, only torturing me for a few days because I can't get in there!" LOL
She is amazing. I don't think I could have hand-picked a better upline. She has made herself available to me at all times via email or phone and I'm also going to a stamp camp in June (held by her upline) and a workshop at her house afterwards so I can learn more stuff!! (and play play play ALL DAY)! yippee!!!!!!!!!

Wow, looks like there are a few of us that are taking the plunge. I am signing up tomorrow, but am having a really rough time picking out the stamps. I mostly have retiring stamp sets and want to make sure I pick good sets and also ones that aren't on the retiring list. Wow, such a tough situation. Anybody have any favorite sets that are really good to demo?
Thanks

One of my favorite sets is Flower filled (pg. 56, 05-06). The catalog does not do it justice. I have made so many different styles of card using this stamp set. I am also in love with the boots in this set. VERY CUTE!!!
