I sent my application in Tuesday and my kit shipped Thursday. I thought that was really quick. So my question is how much longer before I get my demo #?
If your kit has shipped, your demo number has already been assigned. Check your e-mail, as they might have already sent you a message to the account you listed on your application. You can also call (1-800-STAMPUP) if you can't reach your upline -- just press the menu number they give for people who don't have demonstrator numbers.

I never got an e-mail with my demo # in it--just the confirmation that the kit had shipped (which should be here tomorrow--whoo hoo!). I called the 800 # and got mine thru them. I think they are closed today for President's Day, tho. Good luck!
My upline called me right about the same time I got the shipping confirmation in my e-mail. I sent my contract in via Priority with a Delivery Confirmation... they got my contract on a Monday morning and shipped my kit out the SAME DAY!
Thanks everyone. It's not that I am in a hurry, just excited and impatiant. I wanted to check the status of my shipment and also go online and make myself familier with the website before my workshop next week.
Shipping is a week from the date ordered unless a holiday is in there. From what I've experienced the holiday only delays picking and then getting the items shipped out. My demo kit took even longer. They were having a great special and had 10's of thousands that ordered the kits which took even longer to get it. You should have your kit very soon and you can go on stampinup.com and track the shipment. It also gives you the scheduled date for delivery. Good luck.
