Thanks for the link...that is so nice of you to post this here! Suze W & Claudine H are supposed to be there too. On his blog post today, Tim said he will be dropping in all day even though he was not presenting all day.
Yes they said he would be back.
I was reading his blog, and saw that he said he would be on. Thought I probably missed it, but got there in time to see him for a bit.
Cool stuff over across the pond. QVC US doesn't have any of that.
after watching. i called QVC. they no longer have a "Product finder". they just have customer service only. but the lady i spoke to said QVC will no longer have a "craft/scrapbooking day". the craft market is"taking a down turn"? WTH who did they survey. i just find that statement hard to believe.

You know, that's just pathetic, isn't it? I loved watching QVC and those all day craft/scrapbooking shows! HSN is boring with theirs. QVC must have surveyed Lisa B from CK and that's why. As much as I could care less about Lisa B and CK, Lisa and David on QVC were hilarious to watch.
Hey we should start emailing QVC by the dozens or hundreds or something. Let them know we miss those shows. And don't tell me they didn't sell a lot of stuff on those days. They sure as heck did.

How rude! That is how I got my start in this hobby, buying scrapbooking stuff off of QVC. I loved watching them demo products and show project ideas. Heck I actually would tivo the shows just so that I could get ideas and then would always ending up buying something that I couldn't get at a local store. That is crazy that they think Craft/Scrapbooking days are not lucrative.

WHAT??? Wow thats crazy! I liked to watch Craft Day on QVC. I am not a HSN fan at all. Didnt Lisa B leave Creating Keepsakes?? Maybe thats why they arent doing it anymore? Well that is bad news!! Yes, David and Lisa were funny. Love David

That's how I got started too!! I turned on QVC just for giggles and it was an all day thing. Actually it was all weekend. And I ended up buying stuff. I didn't even know what I was doing but it looked like fun so I bought stuff and started this wonderful, amazing hobby. I always tuned in when they did their scrapbooking days, weekends, etc. And then boom...they were there no more. Half the fun was watching the host/hostess talk with the rep from the companies. And David was a hoot!
HSN has the personality of a burlap bag.

I was looking at some of the items that were offered. Lots of different things than what had been offered on QVC US. QVC US had the same thing on every time--it's no wonder that their sales dropped. People have always done arts and crafts of some type and always will. I've been crafting my entire life.
I just sent qvc an email thru their website. Not sure if it will do any good, but I used to buy alot of my stuff from them. I told them to check out this site if they had any concerns that this hobby was fading... also asked for a response, so it will be inte4resting to see if it is a generic thank you for your imput blah blah blah. They had some great stuff and would love to purchase some of it....
Here is what I sent them:
Hi,
I loved the products you had available for Tim Holtz's overseas show. Would love to see you get the cardmaking/scrapbooking shows going again. There has been no downturn in this hobby. Maybe the problem is that you need to branch out to new items/designers. Take a look at SCS in the forums and you will see this craft is alive and well...you are missing out big time. I used to buy alot of supplies from QVC, but there hasn't been much that has interested me lately. Please rethink shelving this hobby and refresh and branch out.
Not very eloquent, but at least it is out there...
Their response:
I am very sorry for any disappointment and inconvience this has caused. Since customer satisfaction is our top priority here at QVC, we always aooreciate suggestions or comments form our customers. I have forwarded your comments to the appropriate department for review. We look forward to better serving you in the future.
Pretty much what I expected and while I don't feel inconvienenced, I am a bit disapointed because I always liked what they offered. It was a shame that they didn't move forward with other vendors. Maybe if a few more emails are received, they will rethink what they do with this catagory. If not, well, it isn't like we can't find anywhere else to supply us with goodies!
