Default Staples brand envelopes $5.00/box

If you need envies to mail Christmas cards, I went to Staples tonight for a different reason and discovered the sale on them.

Just an FYI....

Are you talking about the plain white A2 envies?!? Also, any idea how long the sale will last?? I DO need them and was going to get from Staples, but forgot to stop when I was out yesterday.....

Mine has them on sale also - picked up 3 boxes to join the 3 that I paid full price for a couple weeks before(but got them free with my staples rewards- but still!) - mine didn't have a very big display left by the time I found them - I am thinking that they are changing the packaging and therefore will be yet another price increase! :( Seems like they have increased more than $5.00 in about a year! But at $5.00 for 100 envies is a great deal!!! Run don't walk!

How do these compare with SU envies? The price sounds great! Are they squared flaps?

Thanks, Janice

The paper isn't the same quality as SU envies, but for the price and since they usually end up in the garbage, I don't like paying the price for SU envies. They also had the ivory ones at the store I usually go to. The square flapped one are self-sealing if I recall and they are 9.99Cdn with the 30% off. The regular ones were 6.99Cdn with 30% off - with gst they came $5.13Cdn in Alberta (no pst here).

I picked up a box for $5, and there weren't many left on the display, but I thought it said that they will be at this price through the end of the year. (or maybe it is until they run out, if they are changing the packaging or something like that.

I went yesterday and bought the last 4 boxes they had. They said they were not going to be having anymore and they didn't have the composition books either.

I bought two boxes earlier in the week. I stopped by the regular envelope aisle and there were the same envelopes/same count in slightly different packaging. Those were not on sale.

I went to ACMoore today and they had all the Letterpress stuff on sale 40% off.. I bought every pack of A2 Envelopes that they had in both Cream and White. I also bought some square ones as well. They are reg. $6.99 less discount. They also give a 10% military discount, so I got 8 pkgs of envelopes for $36 and change.. the A2 have 40 in them and they are very nice.. they remind me of watercolor paper, but more pliable.. I already used two of them today to send cards to Iraq. The sale ends tomorrow 12/05
