Hi Ladies, I can tell we all love cookbooks from the response I am getting. I am sending about 20 emails a day although the past couple days I got hit with a terrible virus(non computer)and have been under the weather. The emails are still going out and unfortunately there is no rhyme or reason to the order they are being sent. This is because of the way I got the info from Morris. Just an FYI that most of the messages are being sent as PM on SCS. I try to only email if there has been no activity in a while on SCS. The replies are coming in slowly but boy, the new recipes are coming in quickly. Either way we are going to have a great book. I am still plugging away and am about 1/4 of a way thru the list. As I promised I will keep the info coming.
I would love to have a cookbook also. Thanks so much for taking on this project. I put together a family cookbook a few years ago when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers. We had over 350 recipes from family members. I printed over 30 copies. It is something that I cherish, but it was quite a job.
Are you going to send the recipes back to us to proofread? I submitted them so long ago, I have no idea what I sent in! But I am able to proofread them any time. Has the final price been determined? I think I had said I wanted to buy one cookbook, but I'd like two if there are enough. Keep us posted! Thanks, Cheri

I am still working on the cookbook. Everyone that submitted recipes and I could identify has been sent an email or PM. I have gotten a reply on the majority of these messages. I have started sending the recipes to the members and receiving the proofed copies back. The problem that I am running in to is that there is absolutely no organization to the way these recipes are on the list. That is what is taking me so long. I have tried to set up a spread sheet to try and organize them along with sending and receiving emails. I know this is taking a long time and I wish that I could speed up the process. I think that it is harder because I didn't start this project so I am trying to decipher what someone else was doing.
So, I will continue to send the recipes(there are over 500 of them)and then review the proofed recipes. It takes me about 2 hours to send 10 recipes so you can see this is time consuming. I have a list of everyone that has requested a copy and will let you know when we are ready to go to print. I would say we are about 1/3 of the way there right now. If you have any questions send me an email and I will try to respond as quickly as possible.
I received a message from you months ago askingif I would proof my recipes but I have never received the recipes back to proof. I am still interested in this and will proof my recipes or do whatever I need to in order to be a part of this. I would also like at least one cookbook depending on the price possibly more...I use my first one all the time. Thanks for all that you are doing. I cant imagine all the work involved especially since you are trying to clean up someone elses mess.

I, too, received an email a few months back asking me to proof my recipes and then I replied that I would be more than happy to, and then nothing. Please let me know what I can do to help with this.

Thanks to all of you for your offers to help. Unfortunately this project is such a mess already that I am afraid if I add one more thing to the mix it will make things even worse. I cannot explain to you how big this project is. As I have said before there is no organization to the recipes or the names so all I can do is pluck away at this daily. I am now trying to give the recipes some organization so that as I email them for proofs I can keep track of what has been proofed. I am sorry if some of you feel that this is taking way too long. I am surprised at the mess of the project and am trying very hard to finish it. I am emailing recipes but I cannot tell any of you when you will receive your recipe to proof. All I can ask is for your patience and forsee my end being completed sometime in Sept. At that point I have to wait for direction from SCS on how they want to proceed from there. If you do not see me posting it isn't that I am ignoring anyone it is because I am knee deep in recipes and emails. I will try to keep you up to date monthly. Thanks for all the interest.

Ladies, I just want to let all of you know that I will not be working on the cookbook for the next 3 weeks.. We have just been called back to Michigan for a death in the family and after that we need to head to Wisc for our son's wedding. I will be back on the web site around Aug 10. While I am gone I will finish organizing the original cookbook so that will speed up the proofing process. I will not be sending or replying to any emails during this time. Thank you for your understanding about this.
