I just got my new Michaels coupon via e-mail. It now has "exclusive members-only coupon for 'my e-mail address'". Do you think this is so we don't share them?? It really wouldn't matter though since the barcodes on the coupon couldn't all be different. The store collects them but then throws them out the next day after the cashiers' drawers are counted.
Could someone please tell me how to get only ONE coupon to print (from my e-mail) when M's has more than one??!! I hate how the coupons come up large (my 50% came up 5x6) and I hate wasting ink on the coupons I don't need. Last week I tried "copying" the coupon and printing it out in another program....it came up fuzzy and cut off and then when I went back into my e-mail I couldn't access the original coupon in my e-mail.
I just highlight the coupon I want to print, then right click on the mouse and when the print window comes up, click on "print selection". Then it just prints the one coupon. You can also highlight the image and copy and paste it into separate document or email to print just one. Hope this helps.
I tried both of those things. I can't seem to JUST highlight the one coupon. And when I did the cut and paste thing the coupon was cut off and I wasn't allowed access to the original coupon when I went back in to my e-mail. I got that message saying that it had timed out or something.
I have free e-mail...juno....maybe that is why I can't do it like the rest of you....??????
I guess we can't forward a coupon either!! I forwarded my newsletter email tomy daughter and she got this message:
Were sorry. This coupon is no longer available because the viewing limit has been exceeded.
If you have been forwarded this coupon and would like to receive offers like this directly from Michaels, please register at Michaels.com.
That is the same message I got when I did the cut and paste thing last week!
Yeah, I guess M's is getting tired of everyone sharing, huh? I also cant just print the one coupon I want because when I try, it cuts off the code at the bottom which has to be there to be able to use in the store. I hate wasting all that ink for all the coupons I dont want...I just want the 40% or 50% off one!
Yu could aways take a screen shot and print it out that way. On a Mac you hit Command-Shift-4 and then you draw around the coupon with your mouse and it puts it on your desktop. Not sure how to do this in Windows. Maybe someone can help if you are using Windows.
I clicked first page only (you know the "1 to 1") and it printed just the 50% coupon. It was still large but it did not print the other coupons I don't need. At least that is how my printer worked.

Why don't you just copy the coupon on your printer? Easy fix.

I'll second that. It worked perfectly for me. I made sure to print out a coupon for each day, too, so that the coupon wouldn't hit its viewing limit before I got to print what I wanted. I'm already making my list!

Not sure what you mean....???
I want to know how to print just one coupon when Michael's has 2 or 3 offered on the email. I only want the "main" one to print out, not the framing one or the floral one.....I hate wasting my ink on the ones I don't want. Plus, I hate how large the flipping coupons end up printing!
And Stamper for fun THIS is why I asked here! I knew someone would mention something obvious that I didn't think to try!!!! I can't try that this week since I 'lost' my coupons when I forwarded them to my daughter....but I will definately try that next time!!
OOH OK PEEPS Michaels has changed their coupons, you get in your email. FIRST they put your e-mail address on the coupon says exclusively for you. THEN I always get them in my email and print them the day I go to Michaels, PRINT THEM RIGHT AWAY! I tried twice now to print 2 different emails and it now says exceeds blah blah blah. Now you cant seem to "Save Image" that is what I did to print out just one coupon. No more. GGRRRRR I cant even get my 50% coupon :( gonna keep trying
Have any one tried to do a copy/paste into a word document?
Should work that way.

Half the time, Michaels doesn't even email me my newsletter with coupons, or they do for a few weeks, then not ever again. I end up having to use a different email or totally unsubscribing to all their stuff and re-subscribing at a later date to get anything anymore. I've told myself again and again that I wasn't going to shop there anymore, but around me, they're the only game in town for a lot of items. We used to have a nice, small, independant store that had quality art supplies, but that closed down. Unless you're one of those totally together, plan ahead for everthing type of person, Michaels is one of the few places around me to get specialty art supplies quickly. My store had been taking multiple coupons for awhile, now all that's stopped and it's back to the one coupon per customer per day thing. Michaels is definitely NOT among my favorite stores.

This is what I mentioned in my original post. If you COPY or SAVE the coupons or if you FORWARD them to anyone....they disappear! "viewing limit" crap comes up!!
The coupon I posted above, I got from an on-line place. I could copy and paste it and print out as many as I needed.
Squirter, when Michaels sends you huge coupons (5 x 6) on several pages and you don't want to waste ink and paper, click on "File", then "Print Preview" The preview will show you which page your desired coupon is on and then you can select that page only. My DH taught me this and it is a great way to avoid the pages you don't want. HTH.
There's a Canadian website that publishes several flyers from across Canada including the Michael's flyer. This will work for the US customers as well:
Here's the direct link for the Michael's flyer for Halifax, NS (but it isn't location specific) and the coupon is separate from the flyer down at the bottom of the page. This one is only the 40% off but I have friends who use this site regularly when the one in their email acts up.
I just right clicked on the pasted purple coupon pictured above....opened in a new tab and printed! You can size in print preview! Thanks for the 50% off squirter!

Oh Thank you!! Didnt know about that, it worked!!
I tried my email again and it still said I exceeded my veiwing limit. Thats because it kept freezing AOL when ever I went to print it!!!
squirter, the coupon you posted above says on it, no electronic reproductions. I don't think this is one you can print out and use.
Sounds like you have to print the coupons the first time you look at the email, what a pain.
Seems like it would benefit them for us to share. I never buy just my one item when i go in with a coupon. Seems like if I share with someone they too will go in and spend more than just the 40-50% off item.
isn't that why stores have coupons?
I question the ones that others have posted (not on THIS thread) that look just like the one's you get in the newspaper ad. I could see them not taking those.
But the one I posted they will take. It looks just like every other e-mail one.
I have two-to-a-page of 50% off coupons for Mike's if anyone is interested (good til Saturday). I can't figure out how to post the attachment here, otherwise I would do just that. PM me.
I used the purple one attached earlier in the thread twice this week with no issues. There were a lot of people using the same coupon while I was there.
Thank you very much for the coupon. I have stopped getting the coupons. I only get the ad for the last 3 months or so. I have resigned up for the mailing list twice and nothing.
Dumb question- are you able to use the coupon more than once? I'm always so afraid to try it because when I go to our store, they actually scan the coupon.
I guess I could always sign up through different emails, because I have like 5 different email accounts [business, pleasure, university, other business, personal, joint one with my husband, another personal account]. Opps, I guess that makes 7 accounts actually.
YES! You can print out more than one coupon and use them throughout the week!! Even if your name is on it. We (Michaels employees) have to scan the coupons and keep them to turn it but that barcode is not "assigned" to you specifically. Once they are turned into the office the office lady tosses them. I do not see how they can "track" who uses what coupons....did that make sense??

Oh this makes total sense!!!! When I worked as a cashier at a local hardware store, we would never scan any coupons, we just had a "quick" for it- just a word that we would type in, hit enter, and the discount would come off.
That was awhile ago though, and my store's technology was back in the stone-age still, so the whole "scanning" thing at Michael's really freaked me out. LoL!!!!
Coming up shortly, Michaels will no longer be having fliers available. Everything will be done on line. This will be the only way to get coupons. Might be a good idea to go on line now so that when this does go into effect, you'll be sure to have your coupons. I think this starts the middle of April, but don't hold me to it.
