[QUOTE=Shawna]Okay this is getting crazy. the second set of 16 is on ebay going for $40 some dollars.QUOTE]
I was just going to say the samething! $40US and up these stamps are going for on Ebay. I hope the manufacturer's don't get any bright ideas and jack up the price on them.
I think at my Michael's they are displayed on an end-cap near the scrap and stamp stuff, so you might want to check around the store. You never know if they were put somewhere else. I don't know how many times I've asked someone for a particular item and they say, "No, we don't carry that". So, I wander the store myself and 9 times out of 10 find the item. Then I go back to the clerk and say, "This is what I was looking for. It turns out you do carry it. It's on aisle 19 for future reference." Good luck!
I went to my local M's today. I found two sets, one green, one pink and a square block. I also found two empty block packages! Why do people have to steal these? They are only $1.
I'm going to check out another M's tomorrow..
I'm starting to wonder if, given the pic's and wording in the ads, that some of these are going for a lot of money b/c people think these sets are either bigger than they are or just don't realize they're only 1.00 sets. I did however see one that specifically stated that they were the 1.00 sets from Micheal's and they went for 66.00+. If something is a hot commodity then I think people will buy them just to get their hands on them. Does that make sense?
Jada, what you said could be right. Also, keep in mind that the internet is national, and for that matter international. Those of us who live in cities where we have lots of shopping choices, like Michaels, AC Moore, and Hobby Lobby are very fortunate.
I always think about people who live in rural areas, or people who are older, or who don't drive or have reliable transportation. They are probably thrilled to find things like these stamps on ebay, even at what seems like an inflated price.
If I had kept track of the gas I used stalking my Michaels looking for the first set, I probably spent a lot more than the $16 + that I paid for the stamps, lol.

I also picked up 3 sets and 2 blocks this weekend at a Michael's. We happened to be in the area which is definitely not local for us. My husband and son were at Micro Center (same as CompUSA) so I went to Michael's. I found merely by accident and then I realized what I had found. Then I started digging! I guess for me its the thrill of the hunt. I heard about the sets and kept stalking the ones nearby but no luck.
I just posted this in another thread but I went to A.C. Moore yesterday and they had $1 stamp sets from the same company that Michael's first stamp sets were of! I saw at least 8 different sets, good luck finding them ladies!
I've been stalking my Michael's for these and nothing for weeks.
I am really wanting the boy ones (old and new). Ebay is tempting,
but beats the idea of getting them for a $1.
I've never seen them at our Michael's either. OR it could be there are so many stampers around here that they snatch them up fast! The $1 stamps are always by the cash registers but the clear stamps I have never seen.
I have a question about these stamps since my local Michael's which is 40 miles away - says they don't know anything about clear stamps!
Has anyone used them and how is the impression you get from them?
I want to start using acrylic stamps and pack up my wooden stamps because of storage problems!
Thanks for the insight! Anyone willing to share their bounty?

Historically I haven't loved any clear stamps quality but with all the tips people have given me I've gotten better with clear.
I used a few my M's ones with fluid chalk ink and they worked terrific, the images were as good as other expensive clear sets I own. I have also been told to prime the stamps with and eraser before the first time you use them but I haven't tried that yet. Overall I am thrilled with these M's ones, especially for $1 a set.

hello,
was at my Micheals in Minnetonka, and got about 13 of them.
they are cute. With them getting ready for martha, its no wonder that they don't have a clue about these clear stamps. I guess we need to talk to the managers and see what else can be done. Previous email about writing a letter to the corporate office might help as well.

Was in the Davenport IA Michaels tonight and they had a good selection of the second set of $1 stamps. Since I totally missed the first set (this is the only Michaels anywhere near me, approx 40 miles away), I was happy to see these & picked up 15 of the 16 different designs. They were all clear. What are the colored ones?
I worked again on Tues. and guess what?! All of the stamps are gone!! These babies go fast and I am not suprised they are selling for big $$ on e-bay! I am just lucky that I work there and get to see all the new stuff comming out before its actually stocked and usually buy 1 of each. The clear stamps are in the same bin as the wood-mounted $1 ones in case you didn't look there! I hope everyone finds them, I wish I could have bought a set for everyone, but they are all gone! I couldn't believe it myself! lol!
Have a great day everyone! =)
Our Michaels has the secound set of them now. I only bought two of them tho. They are really cute to stamp with, and I find the Brillance ink does wonderful with them. I havent tried my SU ink on them yet.

They never answered me!!! :( However, I have seen a really big improvement at my store. I just started another thread although I should have put it here. They did get the stamps, they have Tim Holtz stuff (more than usual) and the entire stamping aisle has been redone with entirely new sets. No more old sets!!! yeah!!! I love it...for now..hahaha
No Martha Stewart Line though...it's all in boxes on top of the aisle. I keep trying to see if I see anything but I can't! LOL
We are clearing out for the Martha line at our Michael's too. I work at Michael's teaching card classes and have sat down and spoken with our manager here because while we do have some Studio G $1 stamps, we do not have them all. He explained it to me that each manager does not even get to choose what they want to sell in their store. It is directly handed down to them what they will sell from the Corporate Offices. If you want a particular stamp or product it is best to go right to the top as your local manager has absolutely no control over what is sent by corporate to him/her. Hope that helps people understand how the chain of Michael's stores works.

They aren't in Regina, Sask.Canada. I just checked today. And of course no one knew anything about them, naturally. The one I did ask says oh, yes the rubber ones are in the front!!!! RRRRRR, forget it...

Found some in Maplewood and Roseville MN lastnight. I think I cleared out Roseville, but there were still some of the new (pink package) ones in Maplewood.
Yahoo, I finally got them. I stalked my M's everyday this week. Today I called a different M's, they had them! They were still in the box, they just came in today. I drove right over to get them. They were in the tiniest box. I think there were only 3 sets total. So it's no wonder they sell out so fast!

I went to our M's her in Vancouver Washington............none......not a one!!!
Went to the Portland Oregon store earlier in the week.........none either!!!
I found all 16 of the pink packaged $1 stamp sets today at my store in NorCal (as well as a few of the blue, green, and yellow ones--apparently left-overs??). They also had the little acrylic blocks in 2 sizes.

I talked to my daughter this afternoon, and she said she'd seen them today at the Michael's in the Hillsboro/Tanasborn area. If you take the 26 westbound toward the beaches, you get off at 185th. Not sure if you'll be out that way in Oregon again, but if so, they still have some today!
I picked up 22 different ones a week or so ago at Michael's in Mesa, AZ. Mine are a bunch of different colors.....turquoise, blush, pink, bright blue, med. blue, lime green, garden green, green galore, lavender, purple, light yellow and bright yellow. What do all the colors mean?
I used a few of my sets tonight, and some of the stamps (not all) turned yellow after I cleaned them. Has anyone else experienced this or know why it happened?
I haven't seen them yet in Michael's here. I emailed the online customer service and they replied that I should speak to the store manager so I phoned and she said if I gave her a sku she could look them up to see if they were going to be getting some in. One of the kind ladies from this website gave me a sku number to take into Mike's and the manager said they were expecting a shipment in of 800. She couldn't say when that shipment would be in.
