I wasn't sure where to share this, but I was so excited, I had to post somewhere and tell someone who would understand my excitement!!
So, I've only been stamping for about 8 months, and so I'm just getting started with building up my supply of tools, inks, papers, etc... well, a friend of mine at work was getting rid of all her stamping stuff. So, of course I told her I was interested....
Here's what I got... (all stampin' up stuff)
ALL colors of paper, EVERY color ink, 7 punches (large and small), 2 stamp n write pens, 2 versa mark pads with refills, 9 stamp sets (mounted and unmounted), glitter, emboss powder, over 500 brads, over 500 eyelets, an eyelet setter (actually 2 of them), tags, ribbon, ink caddy, and eyelet/brad caddy, plus 4 containers of eyelets and brads not even opened!! She gave it all to me for 190.00!!!!!! I am so excited!!! I can actually find a card on here that I like and make it using the actual colors!!!!
I thought it was a good deal...I hope I didn't "overpay"....
Congratulations on your purchase! You didn't overpay... It can take a while and bit more $$$ to build up a collection like this. It sounds like it was a win-win situation.
Assuming that it's all in good condition, you got a GREAT deal. The ink caddy alone from SU is $55. Each full sized ink pad is $5.50 and there were 48 colors in that fit in the caddy. Plus the cardstock, stamps, ribbon, embellishments, etc.
Congrats on a fabulous deal, and happy stamping! It's great to start out with a 'full slate!' Just save room for all the other stuff you'll want to get!
Thanks ya'll!!! They are all in VERY good condition and honestly, it doesn't even look like the ink was used hardly at all!!! there were 2 pads that were still in packaging!! They've been stored inside in her bedroom closet and I touched each one to ensure ink...and htey are all still good!!! Even if they had dried out, I can get refills!!! I was soooooooo excited...my hubby just shook his head and kept asking me... so, was it worth 190.00?? I said absolutely and went through the whole caddy was $$ and ink pads this much each...etc.... he didn't say much after that!
No, you did not overpay! Wow! You underpaid! I am so impressed and completely envious (in a good way) of your haul. Congratulations! I can't wait to see what you make with everything.
Don't worry at all - you got an AMAZING deal....I've been stamping for about 8 years now and I would've jumped on that deal! Good luck and have fun! I'm happy that all of your products found a "home" that will love them!
Thanks so much you guys!!! Like I said, I haven't been stamping long, so the ideas don't come to me as easily...however, when I see the fabulous cards on here that all of you make and share, I can tweak them! My hubby is amazed, although he still doesn't "get it".... ha ha...
I will upload soon once I get some time to actually get some stamping done, as I am a full time teacher! Summer is almost here!!! YAY!!!
You can also check out a website called www.patstamps.com She has a total list of the current, and retired SU! stamp sets. You can click on the name of the set, and it brings up lots of cards made with that set!! It's a great site!! Have fun with your goodies!!
hey ya'll...ok so after sharing my fabulous deal with you guys...I have been card makin' up a storm, and I want to share with ya...so, I am new to the site and have never uploaded anything to here, so where would I upload the cards I've made to share with you guys??!! thanks
At the top of this thread on the left is a section called "Around the Site". Click on "Upload a Card" and it will guide you thru the process.....Can't wait to see what you have made. I just recently started to upload stuff to my gallery too! This site has brought me so much inspiration over the years!

Awesome deal. Lucky you I am green with envy LOL
I had to pass up what I thought was a good deal a couple weeks ago of all the craft spots (the little inks pots) for $60 as I couldn't make to the lady who was selling them's house. Enjoy your treasure chest.
I second Contrapat's comment.....get the re-inkers quick! Especially for the colors that are retiring. Once they're gone from S/U's inventory, you'll have to buy them on e-Bay and pay a small fortune.
GREAT DEAL, though! You'll get many, many years of enjoyment out of this investment.
Congrats!
Kat
