This is such a bittersweet moment. Selling this house is the first of many life changes I'm making right now. The hubby and I agreed that we've taken 2 totally different paths over the last few years. Once the house is sold he's going his way and I'm going mine. At least this isn't one of those horrible divorce stories that you hear all time. We're still peaceful for the most part. LOL
The house went on the market this afternoon and somebody walked it a few hours later. I just got the call from our realtor saying they've made an offer. It's too good to pass up so we're signing the papers accepting tomorrow. We got a good deal on this house years ago so I figured we could list it at a fair price and still get something out of it. It worked out perfect! I guess I need to get busy narrowing down my apartment search.....they want to close on June 22nd!
Congratulations on getting such a quick sale. I hope your apartment hunting goes well, and that both you and your husband find happiness in your next chapters.
Congratulations on selling your home. We are in the process of selling ours (we have sale pending) and the showings are so stressful because you so hope this will be the time it sells and then it doesn't. All in all we did well. We put our house on the market 3/1 and by Easter we had an offer. Now the packing and prep to move to NY and a closing there. UGH!
I recently asked my husband to leave. In the beginnings of a divorce process. Selling the house may be in the cards at some point.
I am glad for you, that this sale went so easily! I can only hope that when it is my turn, it goes as well!
Best wishes on starting your new life! :-D
Oh ladies...I am so sorry about the divorces and parting of ways. I have been divorced twice. It is very painful but once the decision is made it is almost exhilerating to have freedom. I pray each of you have a wonderful happy life ahead of you.
Way to go!!! Houses in both FL and NC where we reside 6 months are selling VERY slowly but they were selling at extremely high prices a year or so ago so now things are kind of settling down. I'm sorry both of you are going separate ways from your spouses but sometimes that's for the best. I wish you the best in your new ventures.
That's totally awesome. It took us 7 months to sell ours and our closing date is July 13th. I am sorry to hear about the break up of your marriage. I am on my second marriage and this one's a keeper. Good Luck.
Thanks for all of your support. SCS girls rock! It's a little more comforting to know other people that are going through the same situation. I wish you all the best too. I'll send some good luck vibes out to you all ;-)
Congrats on the sale!! I bet that takes a load off of your shoulders. A friend of mine has had a house on the market in NC since October and it hasn't gone yet. I wish you the best of luck in your future.

Congrats that you don't have to string this out for months. Sometimes its better to move things along quickly and get on with your life. Hey, no more worrying about spending too much time stamping! You can do whatever you want.
I know here in Los Angeles houses can go in a day often, but I know that's not the case in most of the country. You also need about $800,000 for an average home where I live. I long for the day I can afford the $150,000 down payment!
We'll be putting our house on the market in a few weeks, we're moving from NC to NH in September. I just hope we have a contract before we move!! Congratulations to you!!

Missy..that's great the house sold so quickly. That must be a sign that something good is going to happen in your future. I wish you the best of luck in your new path of life and may your journey be a wonderful one at that!
Wow that is amazing in this housing market! How cool! Congrats!

Missy - congrats on such great news about your house. That is quite amazing - a one day sale!!
I'm sorry to hear about you and DH, but totally understand the "2 different paths" situation. These things happen even if we don't want them to. I'm so thankful for you all that things are amiable, that makes it so much easier. DH and I have been "fighting" a similar situation - sometimes the struggle is so wearying.
I wish you the best for your future and as someone else said, hopefully you and your stamps will find a lovely place to live and your new life will bring you all the fulfillment you desire!
Rhonda

Wow, Missy - Congrats on selling the house so fast! I can tell where you DON'T live, and that's anywhere near me! LOL! We've had houses in our neighborhood on the market for 6+ months! EEK!
Sorry about you and your husband.... my ex and I went thru the same thing and are still very happy that we realized what was happening and decided to go our separate ways before it got ugly. We are still friends, happily married to the right people now! Good luck to you!!!!!
